671 Washington St, Middletown“It's my go to store usually but they don't carry everything so certain items I still go to price chopper for. But overall I like aldis and the variety of different foods and prices are usually cheaper than name brand items.”
“We stopped in yesterday for the first time. We needed a couple of plants and we were really impressed. They have a lot of plants and flowers and a nice variety. Everything is so healthy!! The plants are well organized so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. Vivian helped us find the right plants for the conditions that they will be in. Besides plants and flowers they have both bulk and bagged mulch. They also have a farm stand. It’s easy to get to and plenty of parking. Will definitely be back.”
“Stopped in on a whim and really glad I did! The man working was so friendly and helpful. I didn't even notice it but he saw that the quality of the sauerkraut I picked out wasn't the best and went right into the cooler and got me a brand new bag. The prices for everything seemed really fair and I was able to pick up some veg that you don't normally see outside if a Wholefoods.”
“Fabulous assortment of gift ideas.Wonderful customer service. Jan called to go over my order so it would be correct. Absolutely beautiful chocolate strawberries.”
“We had a great time this afternoon at Farmer Wayne’s beautiful orchard picking McIntosh, Calhoun, Liberty, and Cortland apples! We brought our five children along- they were delighted by the easy to reach apples and by the chestnuts scattering the ground. We filled a 20 pound bag with apples, and also went home with organic potatoes (that Wayne had dug up moments before), eggplant, garlic and seed garlic, onions and apple cider. He also had pear cider that he had pressed yesterday, but we were out of money at that point! We are truly thankful to find an organic farm like this one in Connecticut that cares about the health of its customers and of the soil, rather than just making a buck. They have great prices and we are so happy to buy as much as we can from them! God bless High Hill Orchard!”
“Join their CSA this year. So far so good. They allow for customization of boxes, which is in theory. Really nice, but so far everything that I've wanted to swap for has been not available. And the stuff in the farm store is kind of expensive, and one of the workers was carrying around a baby chick, which is adorable and I thought was really cute when I was there, but then on my drive home I was like and she's got this live animal around all of this fresh produce and things that are meant to be consumed without cooking them again, I think maybe it's not a good idea.”
“I don't know where to start. Just buy everything from here. Your meat, eggs, milk, produce, jam, jellies, honey, pasta sauce, candles and whatever else is in season at the time. I really love everything from Killam & Bassette farm stand. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.”

2640 Berlin Turnpike, Newington“Their fruit could be better...alot of times when im looking for bananas or strawberries the bananas are really bruised and a few times the strawberries are next to impossible to find not moldy ones...on the bright side its not typically overly packed. They always are organized and 9/10 havr everything im looking for. The staff is amazing and super kind and helpful as well. Tuesdays are my favorite days to go to this specific aldi”
“This is one of the hidden gems of Glastonbury this place has so many different things they’ve got a Parmesan peppercorn dip or you might not go to a farm stand for a dip but let me tell you that is a great item out ugly fantastic plus they have it’s hard to find they’ve got a corn relish there I think they make it themselves also incredible stuff plus you know the fresh vegetables that is absolutely wonderful and they had some pastries there that nobody can say no to stop on my own by the way they do have a little black licorice is just a thing but it’s really cool I love it”

32 Reeds Gap Rd, Middlefield“The horse rides here are awesome. The pies are obviously delicious. The gelato? Out of this world. Make sure to come early if it is a weekend of importance or they are holding an event because even though the place is huge it can fill up extremely fast!”
“I shop i Little Poland from 18 years but last Saturday the first time I stopped at ZIELENIAK. That will be my favorite store from now on. The size of the cabbage is amazing. The garden cucumbers finally taste like polish cucumbers and horse radish is not watery. And...they have fresh sunflower heads!!! How could I overlooked this store?!”
“Last year we came for Apple picking and had some drone shots. It’s beautiful over the lake. This time we went for cherry picking. The location is different. You can follow the direction to reach there. A board was there just on the road. As always we do enjoy this type of activity. There was a winery shop beside the cherry farm. The landscape beside the farm was also beautiful. The picture was not that good however , because of cloudy sky. A clean blue sky with red cherrys will make those pics more beautiful.”
“my wife stopped by veggie world and got me a steak grinder and i have to say that it was out of this world, when i took a bite into it, there was so much flavor in it that i didn't have to add anything else to it, it was so damn good just plain as it was. the grinder roll it self had a lot of flavor that it just exploded right in your mouth. i was telling her now this is the kind of steak grinder that i have been looking for. i hope to stop by again real soon to pick up another on real soon. please stop by and give there grinders a try. i think that you will like them as well”
“Picking your own apples is a fun experience. If you haven't tried Mutsu/ Crispin apples, then you're missing out. There were plenty of apples left on the trees all within arms reach after moving branches out of the way. Some of the apples weighed over 1lb each‼️Yum, yum.?”
“River Ridge is our favorite local farm. I love their personally picked selection of items and everyone from the farm is so nice and knowledgable. Truly a gem, also look into their CSA!”
