I had work done on my car a couple of months ago by Dave. He had heard a scraping sound after installing the wheel bearing and told me he would fix it so he brought it into the garage and he was banging on it which I thought was fine at the time since I’m not the mechanic. I brought my car to him the following day because something didn’t feel right. He came for drive with me but said it was nothing. I continued feeling like something wasn’t right so I was finally able to bring my car to have a diagnostic test at dealership and that same part needs to be replaced again. I found out that the wheel bearing should absolutely never be banged into place otherwise it messes the bearing up badly. I called him and briefly spoke to him while I was still at the dealership but now he’s not answering my calls or texts. I’ve tried going to his shop but nobody has been there. Edited: I had wheel bearing replaced again by someone else and my car is back to how it was before I had Fleetwood auto work on it!! The mechanic that replaced it this time had to replace the wheel hub as well because the one on my car had been destroyed by Fleetwood auto. The mechanic also discovered that a pin that should be in wheel hub was missing and he told me I could’ve had an accident because that holds things in place!! Seriously don’t go to them!! The sad part is the owner said they’re moving out of state to warmer weather due to medical reasons and if they do then those bringing their car in for repairs won’t see these reviews unless they know they came from Connecticut.

I had wheel bearing replaced on passenger side a couple of months ago. When Dave the owner drove it around after replacing bearing he heard a scraping sound so while my youngest son and I waited he brought my car back into garage and banged multiple times on the wheel bearing. i brought my car b to him the very next day because my car didn't feel right afterwards. He took a ride with me and he said everything was fine. I was able to finally take my car to have a diagnostic at a dealership the other day and I was told that the wheel bearing on the passenger side needed to be replaced again. I called Dave and let him know what the dealership said and told him I'd get back in touch with him once I got home but he's not answering my calls or responding to my text. He has always answered m calls and texts before this happened. I spoke to a friend who also works on cars at times and without saying anything about Dave banging on bearing he said "if he banged on it at all, that's a big no no!!"

I went to a mechanic and he said I needed a tube up— I saw my guy Dave and he saved my transmission. Literally one the best mechanics in Central Connecticut!

I was referred by a nice gentle men from mobile 1 after learning that my exhaust pipe had been completely disconnected causing a loud noise. I believe the name was Dave, who fixed the problem right away. He also informed me on another piece which needed to be replaced. He showed me exactly where and what was wrong, the new and old pieces he went out and bought and even took me to nearest store to withdraw more money to pay. I am so thankful for there great work and professional service! I highly recommend! My car runs as smooth and silent as a whistle! Thank youu I will see you again and recommend any and everyone I come across in need of repairs / assistance.

got my brake lines replaced here for a very good price and these guys did an amazing job. good people very straight forward and they go above and beyond. Dave even accomodated for my rides to work while my car was there in the shop. very cool people.

I have been a customer of Fleetwood for close to 20 years, I keep coming back because you can trust that your not going to get ripped off. Dave only performs repairs that you need and if your looking to save money he is not trying to clean out your wallet.
