Great activities here! The only problem is that if you go during the fall, it is usually very busy.

Well, I have not been to the orchards lately but I did buy a strawberry rhubarb pie at BigY in Old Saybrook and FYI we needed our very strongest and sharpest knife to cut the outer crust. Once that was accomplished the pie crust was a mess.

This was our favorite place to go to for pumpkin picking and have traditionally done it every October for at least 4 years now. My wife and I enjoyed it because we were able to pick / cut our own pumpkins. Unfortunately this year all that was available is pre-cut pumpkins which aren’t truly “pick your own” in my opinion. Did t know if it was because we went on a weekday vs weekend but when I asked an employee and had absolutely no idea. My wife and I both decided we’ll be picking a new location for our pumpkin picking with the kiddos. Way to take the fun out of it at Lyman Orchards.

You pay upfront for the bags and after going in realized all the apples were spoilt or in the process, could barely find a few that was without any problems..

Flowers were bad and they give small boxes for it for 10$ and disrespectful employees they were three girls talking bad about the costumers.

Don’t know how else to find this out. If you’ve been apple picking at Lyman in the past week, are the apples good? Are they too small or more full size? We usually go as a family every year in mid to end of October, but want to go this weekend.

The place is huge and has a few orchards to pick from (just a note in case you’re meeting friends). I felt it was just very commercial and overpriced. You pay for the bag in advance, half a peck was $15 and I got roughly 8 apples

Wonderful place, I can only imagine what it would be like at the right moment in this location! The employees are awesome, explained everything well and very patient/professional. Went here with the family and left with smiles. Apples, and the peaches were great! We even stopped by the store and balled out on the delicious bakery items here. Apple fritter donuts = 3.5/5

Great apples and a great walk around outside! As of 9/15 only PYO pumpkins available were white pumpkins along parking at 'crow hill' There is a whole hill covered in plants that are NOT ready so we will be back in a few weeks!

Drove a long way to get there, encountered some traffic, showed up only a few minutes after 4:30 & they refused to let us in. So little grace and humanity.

Not anything like their television ads. Apples too high up for children to pick. No direction from anyone. Hardly any fruit on the apple trees and with small apples we never heard of. High prices.
Will not return.

Loved our visit here. We came for the blueberry festival and loved exploring their grounds for u-pick areas, horse-drawn wagon rides, petting zoos, various food trucks, and all of their incredible offerings in the market. We'll definitely be back.
