The store has a great selection of gardening products for outdoors. They are a bit pricey on some items. Lookup the product you want first than see where it's cheapest. You'll see what I mean. For indoor gardening you'll want to shy away from grow tents or lighting. Better deals online. They do have a great line of Espoma brand mixes and soils and Foxfarm products at a good price. Their plants are great quality and when on sale great prices. I have no clue about their pet department.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! I bought two plants that are very healthy and the price was very good! I have seen them both go for allot more!

I have always purchased mulch from Agway a.k.a Smithland but this year the mulch is full of large nuggets and pieces of wood along with the mulch. I was told it's a new distributor, they need to reconsider their choice!

I am so pleased with my experience at Smithland. I cannot say enough. The customer service is truly superior; above and beyond my expectations.I rescue and rehabilitate feral cats. They are very particular about their litter, so when I found this litter that works well AND they accept; I was thrilled! Tidy Cats Pure Nature is the best litter I have ever used. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued by the manufacturer, Purina. I am grateful that Smithland had a few bags left in stock. This purchase was really important to me because it allows for a smoother transition to a new litter. There also were some logistics to figure out, as I live near Plymouth, MA.Thank you to all of the associates at Smithland for making this happen. Competitive inventory and prices. I come here regularly and any time I can’t find something or have an issue with prices, coupons, etc Tim always goes above and beyond to make things right. His patience and attention to detail always has me leaving with a smile on my face. Give this man a raise! Thank you to Tim and the rest of the team.

I love coming to the store they have everything I need here my dog loves walking around the store as well everybody that works here is very friendly and they always say hello to you when you walk through the doors. I always find what I need here and my dog does too. They have a good selection on all your pet items and pet needs they also have a great selection of shrubs plants and flowers out back. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you have not already. I definitely give this place a five-star rating.

My boyfriend and I got to this store 10 min before they closed on a Sunday (at 4:50pm). Right when we walked in the girl at the door said “just so you know we close in a few minutes” with attitude and rolled her eyes at us.. We told her we’d go quick and knew what we wanted. Then we asked a man for a propane tank and he looks at his watch and says “ummm you have about 3 minutes to get one. Not sure if the back is closed but I can try.” Terrible customer service! Especially towards people spending over $100 in a few minutes. If a customer walks in the door any time before you close, you should treat them with respect and not make them feel uncomfortable or rushed.
