Not sure how they stay in business. extremely expensive for inexpensive items. I think the goal here was to have a classy high end consignment shop. I think they have to brainstorm a new ideal. Drove almost a hour to get there walked in looked around. could not believe the prices! my friend and I were going to turn around and leave but instead we decided to have with it. and we did. By the time we left we were laughing so hard. don't recommend unless you need a little laugh. Will be posting pictures later.

We shopped here as we had a distinctive look that we were working towards and had heard of their design help. Michel and the staff put us on the right road with furnishings, rugs, and decor. They all work hard to make sure they find just the right pieces for you. We couldn’t be happier and will continue our home project with them! Thank you - you are a wonderful team!

Michel provided me a wonderful finding the perfect bar cabinet to add my dining room. Not only did she help me find the piece but she also offered me tips for updating other areas of my dining room. She understood my very particular taste almost immediately. I will no doubt be returning in the future for her design expertise and invaluable advice.

For anyone looking for a high end furniture store with extraordinary prices look no further! I was searching for a well made comfortable sofa for months, but was reluctant to pay the high price tag that went along with it. A friend told me about this hidden gem so I decided to check it out. It took me an hour and a half to get there. As I was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, I thought to myself this better be worth it. Walking into the store felt like Christmas. I was dazzled with all the unique pieces that filled the store. Unusual kidney velvet sofas, gorgeous leather sofas and chairs, marble martini tables, gold and brass mirrors, etc. There was so much to look at that it was hard to stay focused. The best part of my experience was meeting Michelle, a design and furniture consultant. Not only was she personal and attentive, but she was patient as well. She really listened to what my objectives were. Michelle obviously knows her craft and it was apparent that she is experienced in design. She literally pulled my living room together by helping me pick out a gorgeous cream colored Hancock and Moore leather sofa (which was half the price I was going to pay) , and an amazing walnut and brass circular cocktail table...the combination was stunning. Michelle even extended herself after hours to help me select a beautiful gold mirror to go over my fireplace. The owner, Dean, was amazing as well and treated me like family. If your looking for a unique, one of a kind , high quality furniture store with great prices, do not hesitate to visit Middlebury Furniture...you will not be disappointed. And, ask for Michelle, she truly is the best!

We recently moved and downsized and needed both new furniture and to find a new home for the old. We are new to the area and so we feel incredibly lucky that we found Middlebury Furniture and, especially, Michel. Michel went far above and beyond to help us design our space, and was most generous with her time and expertise. We can't thank her enough. It's been a great experience working with Michel and Dean and we highly recommend Middlebury for the high quality of the furniture and of the staff. Thank you Michel and Dean!

We were amazed at the collection of home furnishings at Middlebury Consignment. We traveled an hour to get there and were not disappointed. Don helped us so much with narrowing down our choices for a couch. We look forward to continuing a relationship with him as we downsize our home!

Another fantastic experience with Dean John, Michele, and Raimondo.We purchased 5 rooms of furniture 4 years ago, and returned today to switch a few items out as mom’s taste and needs have changed.Dean John and Michele spent a great deal of their time assisting mom with her selections, and she’s very pleased with her purchase.Their team is delivering the news items next week - and picking up the items that mom is consigning.On our opinion, Middlebury Furniture and Home Design is the finest place to shop for furnishings and home decor in Connecticut. The quality and selection is superior to anything you’ll find in Connecticut, and the customer service and design services and amazing.

Salesperson Michelle was outstanding and Dean was great. I hope they can grow back to the size they were before Covid and offer a larger selection of consigned amtiques & furniture. I was thrilled to see their wonderful selection of carpets & the new gift shop is delightful.
