They seem to be building up their stock of organic produce. Their lead cashiers, employees are very rude and disrespectful. The store often stinks of rotten food. There are frequent fights and weed smoking in the parking lot at all hours of the day. It's the most ghetto Stop & Shop I've been to. If you can shop somewhere else I suggest you do so.

They need more employees. If the the store closes at 10pm why is the deli department closed at 8:30 pm.

The store closes at 10 pm. It was 9:55 & i walking to store just to pick up a loaf of bred. An elderly man who was pushing carts has his hands out as if i can't go in the store. One loaf of bred like are you serious he was so rude that he even stood by the door so i can't get by or even enter the building with 5 mins to spare.

I stop in the store this morning- 2nd time since the union came to a tentative agreement since the strike. I noticed that prices on a few items that I selected we're elevated. I see that the consumer is gonna pay the price for the lost revenue. Thanks Stop & Shop!

Not only does the men's room smell shocking like old urine, you can easily get knocked out by the stench as you make your way down the hall on your way to the bathrooms. Every time I've been there over the past several years, the smell has never changed. I feel so embarrassed that the employees are forced to use that room. I typically drive all the way to West Hartford or Glastonbury to shop at Whole Foods.. partly because of Stop N Shop's lack of concern or caring. I only shop at Stop N Shop if I'm in a pinch. Their customer self checkout equipment is way out of date and virtually every time I check out, it requires me to wait for a live person to have an error resolved. One of the other problems is there are always people asking for money at the two entrances/exits...during the days, usually it is benign, Girl Scouts, Cancer research..but at night when it gets dark, you're faced with drug addicts pan handling. Even Walmart in Wallingford takes care of their bathroom. I'm not surprised to see that Stop and Shop has not even taken ownership of this Yelp page either. Side note- The pharmacy is run extremely well. The people are friendly and always send me text notifications right away after my script is filled. This is the only thing Stop and Shop has going for it currently.

This is usually the only Stop and Shop I usually go to in Meriden and so far I really haven't had any issues with the place it's usually pretty clean and everything's really well-stocked most of the time and it's pretty easy to find someone who works there if you need help finding something. So overall a great store to go shopping at for most of your grocery items.

Have all my prescriptions here. The staff is friendly and professional. The head pharmacist is caring and always ready to answer questions and concerns.
