“After being given the runaround by CVS one time too many, I found myself looking for a new pharmacy. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Hancock's: friendly, personal service, and a local pharmacy that’s open late and on the weekends! Everyone I dealt with could not have been more friendly and accommodating! I had only switched to CVS because there’s only one local pharmacy left in Southington, and their hours are not compatible with my schedule. Hancock's isn’t the closest, as I live on the Berlin side of Southington, and they are on the Middlefield side of Meriden. Definitely worth the drive, however! I only wish they had electronic notifications to notify me when scripts are ready, but making a phone call before I head out is no big deal when the phone is actually answered by a live (and knowledgeable) human, instead of wading through endless recorded menus and waiting on hold for an eternity.”

While the pharmacist is quite knowledgeable, the remaining staff are not that fluent in English. If you need to pick up more than one prescription you need to check if all is in the bag.”

“I like CVS, however I dislike that the pharmacy is closed for 30 minutes for lunch. With a staff of 3 or more on shift I don’t understand why EVERYONE should take lunch at the same time. CVS doesn’t close the store while cashiers/staff take lunch. I imagine they take staggered lunch breaks as should pharmacy personnel. People need their prescriptions and some need them IMMEDIATELY.”

CVS on paddock Ave. fam.& I ,4 yrs ".2 rude older women employees talk down 2 folks & @ them .younger pharmacy techs where belittled in front of costumers. Finally left.Happier with My Walgreens don't mind being patient, waiting .it's nothing.They go out of their way to help , that's COOL.”

“This is a neighborhood pharmacy full of regular staff and regular customers. Each person works hard to make sure that customers get the attention they need (and beyond, in many cases). Aisles are often hard to get through because of limited store spacing and customers being customers. The pharmacists and technicians work hard to help each person. They make calls for people, they give honest answers and advice when it is asked for. If you want FAST service, try not to go during a busy time (ie. 4 pm on a Friday when everyone else is there expecting fast service).”

“I'm getting my story out for 153 Broad St. Meriden, CT After 3 months of Pharmacist Melissa Kosko filling my prescription with 60 pills missing CVS still calling to ask if I want my prescriptions filled. I'll never step in CVS ever again. This pharmacist got away with what she did and now I feel harassed by this pharmacy. Please be careful everyone and count your meds at the counter. No one should suffer the way I did. It's truly hurtful after being a customer for over 20 yrs.”

“Open on a holiday. I did have to have my prescription expedited. It seems like they fill prescriptions within 24 hours so if you need it before next day, call. Staff were polite, friendly, helpful. Bathroom was ick, but that's Connecticut (pharmacy / store bathrooms are used by travelers since you aren't allowed to use bathrooms at gas stations in Connecticut).”
