I’ve always had terrific experiences with Dr James and the rest of his team. I’ve had dogs with a variety of medical issues and the consultations are spot-on and thoughtful. I have no reservations recommending this practice to anyone.

This place is absolutely horrible. 2 years ago thanks to the advice they gave me, my dog died painfully instead of being put to sleep. (Feed him whatever i want, even with failing kidneys.)
My new dog had his 1st round of shots there at year 1, with no issues. I tried to bring him back for his 2nd round of shots, and it was an awful experience. They wouldnt let me hold him and were scared to do it themselves. They told me I needed to drug my dog for a week. Now that I complained and wanted to think it over they wont allow me back.
Edit- Great reply. Is that why I was given terrible advice multiple times?
Also...might want to check your facts. Heres a photo of me agreeing to your vet methods of medication after thinking it over, and you BLATANTLY discriminating and calling my dog aggressive, and saying I dont care about safety. Also..I dont know how "looking at other options" is disrespectful...especially after such terrible advice with my 1st dog. I will be contacting my lawyer.

All of the veterinarians and staff at Meriden Animal Hospital are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly with all pets! They spend time answering any and all questions you may have and demonstrate proper care techniques. I highly recommend them as a great place to bring your pet.

Dr Anderson and the group at Meriden animal hospital are phenomenal. They have taken care of our pets for almost a decade! We wouldn't go anywhere else they are like family!

Very welcoming establishment and genuine professionalism. They really cared about ours dogs, Even with fleas on them at the time of visit, they took their time , no rush no hurry highly recommend them .
