After being given the runaround by CVS one time too many, I found myself looking for a new pharmacy. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Hancock's: friendly, personal service, and a local pharmacy that’s open late and on the weekends! Everyone I dealt with could not have been more friendly and accommodating! I had only switched to CVS because there’s only one local pharmacy left in Southington, and their hours are not compatible with my schedule. Hancock's isn’t the closest, as I live on the Berlin side of Southington, and they are on the Middlefield side of Meriden. Definitely worth the drive, however! I only wish they had electronic notifications to notify me when scripts are ready, but making a phone call before I head out is no big deal when the phone is actually answered by a live (and knowledgeable) human, instead of wading through endless recorded menus and waiting on hold for an eternity.

Greatly dissappointed... My husband needed a specific bandage to dress a burn wound that the ER Dr wanted me to get. As some meds, even like aspirin for heart patients, you can get it either by script or over the counter. The pharmacist refused to sell it to me, insisting that it is prescription only. Really upset that I could not care for my husband's wounds as we were instructed to because someone is so ill misinformed. I ultimately bought 2 packages from different sources online. Unfortunately it will delay the treatment by several hours, but nevertheless, it will happen. For a pharmacy, the employees REALLY need to be more knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful.

Or great, but not bad service. Clerk did little to help me find a knee brace, was zero percent useful in helping me with size. Left and went to Grabers across town, they busted out a tape measure and led me to the size I needed. Btw, if you need xl size, Grabers is the place and the were very friendly. At Hancock' so felt as though I was being watched more than helped.

Very capricious rules and they show no flexibility and rude to boot. I wanted to use a local pharmacy and leave the big pharmacies behind. So my NY doctor sent my prescription refills there . I call , I was told sorry we do not fill out of state orders. I have been filling my orders from NY for the last 30 years. Now I go to a local doctor (I paid for the visit again) they send in the same prescriptions. I call the pharmacist he gets on the phone and says they sent the prescriptions back to the doctor because I was miffed when I had to pay for another visit for now reason. In essence he basically said for me to go away in other ways he told me to G off ride and condescending. Now it’s 2 weeks without my medications and it’s allergy season. Thank you so little .. I would think twice before using this pharmacy and truthfully the low rating is warranted.

Hands down worst pharmacy IMO. Told me that they never got my scripts when really they just didn't have one in stock but wouldn't tell me until my Dr finally called them to see what was going on with them. Then tells me it's against the law to transfer narcotic scripts to another Hancock pharm and LAUGHS at me like a child which btw is a lie, public act 20-4 specifically allows the transfer of narcotic meds. They just don't want to bc they rather try to distress and put a disabled person off their meds...you think it's funny you don't know what you're talking about? Guess what...so would I except it's effected my medical treatment. I bet you feel like a big person...the ppl who pick up the phones lie so much they can't even get their story straight. They work in a pharmacy and still don't even know what they're talking about. PUBLC ACT 20-4 and if you're going to accuse someone of harassment you better have a good reason. You didn't claim me calling was harassment until I told you you're WRONG

Another shout out to my favorite pharmacy ??Hancocks ❣️Greg and his staff are all about customer service! If I have an issue with meds. Greg handles it and sticks with an issue from start to finish !!We are so LUCKY ? to have a family pharmacy across from 2 corporate ones who aren't run by their owners. Hancocks carries so much other stuff, seasonal and gift items. Cards that are discounted and so much more! When you enter Hancocks someone ALWAYS greets you and for a moment in time, you feel like what Meriden was like back then. Where the customer mattered and was made to feel like family. Thanks Greg for carrying on what your parents started!! People notice you are always there and YOU set the tone for your employees, and we the customer feel it❣️Meriden is so lucky ?

I work at an Agency with individuals with disabilities.The driver called and asked if there would be a med cert person at the house. This was on the 29th. My client wanted this medication and waited by her window until around 12:00 am as did I. No show. I tried explaining this and was told it just wasn't true and listed all the things I did wrong , like not hear the door knock. He hung up on me. I cried. Awful feeling to not be heard.

This pharmacy ROCKS!! Seriously Can’t say enough blessings over this pharmacy! The owner Greg cares for people and it shows in his staff and impeccable service! Someone always answers the phone , and the service is excellent!!!

This is Meriden’s best kept secret. Everything the big chains have without all the headaches. No lines no waiting and no backorders.A lot of times the Scripps a lot cheaper. Should definitely give them a shot.

I had to get a new hose & mask for a Nebulizer I use for asthma. I called them to see how much it would cost. I was told about $13. So I go all the way there & when I got there I was told I needed a prescription. I then called my doctor who was happy to write me a prescription for a hose & a mask (which I still can't figure out why you would need a prescription for a hose & a mask). I gave the pharmacy some time to fill it & when I called them to see if it was ready they told me they haven't carried those for months. I called around to other places & found what I needed & surprise surprise you don't need a prescription for a hose & a mask. Hancocks Pharmacy obviously has no idea what they are doing. I strongly recommend you go to any other pharmacy since this one is run by incompetent employees.

Hands down worse pharmacy EVER. This location stinks. My insurance denied my med needing an authorization, they never inform d the staff where I live then after three days without I had a clinician call them on a Friday and they STILL NEVER took care of it. This is unacceptable. Three days without a controlled substance is unacceptable. DO YOUR JOBS. I'm pulling ally scripts from your pharmacy.

You are supposed to TRUST your Pharmacist! I’ve been a loyal customer over 25 years since my parents were customers. I did not want to join the bandwagon and switch pharmacies but after having a bad experience before while shopping now this time they have gone too far! My DR had a medication switched because I have Celiacs disease AND when I went to pick it up they had already filled the old RX and LIED and told me that was the correct one!! I said I don’t want to get sick and they reassured me! I’m DONE. Switched to a smarter pharmacist that knows their stuff. Went to CVS. I also had another RX another DR sent over and they said they do not make it … well CVS did!!

Very weird place.. Like I was going bk in time to my grandmas garage. Repeatlly asked if i needed help which normally was fine but after 4 people asking in a 4 minute time frame was a bit much. The products, i bought from there had a moth ball/old lady perfume smell that had seeped into everything I bought that day. Also acted as if they never saw a credit card without a chip before. Will never be back nor recommend.
