“Following up from my last post: I took your advice and preordered this time. The service was jack-rabbit fast. The music was also significantly softer and more gentle, which I really really appreciate. I feel like I was heard by the folks at The Botanist. This review has been modified from a 1 star to 5. Listening to your customers is critical and I really appreciate being heard. That is worthy of 5 stars given my first review was given only a couple of weeks ago. Thank you!Old review read:The music is way too loud for folks with sound sensitivity. Especially for medical patients being forced to wait in a hot claustrophobic tiny room. Get some ventilation in there. And not the first time this has happened to me here at this location.”

“I have been utilizing the Big Y Pharmacy for the past year and I really can not say enough good things about it. One of my prescription medications is a rather unique preparation, and due to its low use and price is never stocked at pharmacies. The Big Y Pharmacy is able to order it and refill it quickly every month, usually within 48 hours of my ordering, something I have never had happen with CVS or Walgreens, who usually took a week. I also have never had an issues or errors with the dispensing of my medication.Jan and Kim are extremely friendly, personable, and take the time to answer questions and look for alternative medications, even when the pharmacy is busy and their is a line. This pharmacy blends the efficiency and attention to detail of a hospital dispensary with the personal service of a hometown pharmacy. It's truly a class act operation and I 100% recommend Jan and Kim to help you with your pharmaceutical needs!”

I felt that she cared about my concerns and she took care of me. She called me back with great news and successfully filled my prescription. She’s an awesome person and employee!”

“I want to send a huge thank thank you to the pharmacists who helped me with my very scared 4 year old as she was getting her vaccines. You went over and above and as a mom who was there alone I am so grateful! Special shout out to Willow. :-)”

“This store usually has what I need, sometimes the online pickup says they're out, but I go in and find it. Annoying but I'm not rating the pick up, or it would be 4. The earlier in the day the better.”

“I want to give the Pharmacy MORE THAN 5 stars. I wish I got the techs name when I called. But the service I got from this pharmacy 10000 stars.I have a really bad ear infection and instead of going to my doctor I went to a walk in, saw I had an infection and prescribed me a drug that's on manufacture back order and no one has. After about 20 cold calls and driving to a bunch of different Pharmacys my last call was Lisbon Target pharmacy who is the only one to take the time and say "Hey, let me check to see anyone that does have it so you don't have to make so many cold calls"That's A Plus service right there, and the reason companies need to pay their techs more and treat them with respect..”

“Friendly staff, great environment, and you can be seen relatively quickly due to how they schedule themselves throughout the week (leaving spaces for last minute appointments). They realize that life happens and work with you as best they can. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences there.”

“Quite simply, these people saved my bacon! I was without my thyroid medication, my refills were out, and I couldn't get a doctor and blood work done that day, so I was going to be without my daily medication. These kind souls understood my situation, and gave me a 5-day refill out of the kindness of their hearts. They made a whopping 56 cents on the transaction, so considering how much a walk-in clinic is ($125), and how my hospital couldn't give a sh*t (Backus in Norwich), I am eternally grateful for their kindness.”

“I love Genoa pharmacy in Norwich Connecticut. I been going to them for 3 years now. I highly recommend them to everyone. I used to have to fill up my medicine pill box once a week and I have to concentrate on it , so not to mess it up. They will put all your pills in pill packs by the time you take them. It makes my life a lot easier. Also they will deliver to your door at no cost , or you can pull up to their door and call them and they will come out to you with your medicine with a smile , or you can go in and have a friendly conversation as you wait for your meds . They are kind, friendly and caring. I say you try them out , and take my word , you will not go to anywhere else. They work as a family”

“The people here, even though they may be overworked, are always professional and courteous with me. The COVID vaccine clients absolutely tie up the line for pharmacy pickup, so your wait time may be a little bit longer than you'd like.”

“Always very helpful and understanding. Pharmacies deal with so much and more. They deal with different personalities, different doctors, and have to deal with a new virus, Covid. People need to have patience. Some of these complaints on here don’t deserve just 1 star.”

“I use this CVS whenever in the Mystic area for my prescriptions as well as taking advantage of the candy sales. Overall I have been pleased and have no issues with using this CVS for my medical needs, including over the counter”

“Been here a few times now and it's been good, they always have what I'm looking for and it's also located in a decent plaza that has quite a lot of stores considering how small it is.”

“I am so grateful that I started going to Big Y Pharmacy. It's so nice to have pleasant, caring people to talk to. There's never a line, always get my prescriptions on time, and wonderful Pharmacist's! Stop putting up with overworked people and waiting forever in lines. It's the best kept secret, but I'm sharing it!!!”

“I had surgery the other day and my pain medication was faxed to CVS before I was out of recovery. I called a few hours later to see if they had the prescription and could fill it. It was already ready for me just waiting to be picked up. I’ve actually been with WalGreens for the last year because they’re close to my new home, but I plan to switch back to CVS probably tomorrow too much hassle with WalGreens CVS always has it ready no problems”

“This CVS is by far the BEST!!! EXCEPTIONAL customer service !!! Always very clean!!! I understand many are leaving negative comments do to the bathroom. This seems to be a personal matter and should not reflect in the rating of this CVS. This CVS does have bathroom issues do to the numerous people who ask to use it. It's not a public restroom it's behind a door with a code etc. when the bathroom is non working the CVS employees suffer while they call maintenance. Maybe use the restroom before running errands. Or there's a gas station not far in emergency.”

“Even thought we live across the bridge and near other Walgreens, we always go to this one as it seems more stocked than our local one. Also have been getting our vaccines here for the last few years, staff are very friendly and answer all our questions on the vaccines.”

“The pharmacy was busy but Emilee really took the extra step to assure I got my prescription. Not to give too much info but my insurance never works and she was able to find the solution and assure that my medication was charged the correct way and then saw it through to completion and made sure I didn’t have to wait any longer than I already had. Thank you Emilee for your hard work!”

“This CVS Pharmacy location has, by far, some of the friendliest technicians around this area including Groton. For those people that are complaining about bathrooms, it is not this specific store's fault that they do not have a public bathroom that anyone else can use. As they are short staffed because CVS corporate wants to cut down their hours just so the higher ups that don't actually work inside a CVS store (but just "manage" them) can get their incentives when they are well within their budget, they do not have the time and employee to bring you back into the employees only area where all their inventory are located. They sometimes do not even have a bathroom to use themselves sometimes because I have seen a portable potty a few times and have inquired about it and they said that the one bathroom that they all share is not working again. For those who are complaining about long lines, have you ever thought that the technicians would really want to help you out as soon as they can but they just cant because they have the other million things that they would need to do like actually type your prescriptions, fill your prescriptions, fight with your insurance just so they would cover your prescriptions, pick up the phone so that they could answer your questions, get the person in the drive through and a bunch of other stuff that they have to do while working inside the pharmacy. These people do all these work for minimum wage because CVS corporate (not the store/pharmacy managers themselves just to clarify for those people who do not know how things actually work) does not want to pay them what they actually deserve. For those who complained/complains about their computers being down, or their registers not working, have you even stopped to think that these technicians/pharmacists would rather have their equipment working properly, or faster than they do, or even at least working at all? It does not help them in any way, shape, or form in those aren't working properly. They would just have to work twice as hard, even though they're already working a job that 3 people are supposed to do. And what do these underpaid, understaffed, overworked pharmacy staff get? Complaints about how the lines are long, the bathrooms are not as accessible, rude and unkind words from the people that they are trying to help. Do you think that they want the medications to be on backorder? They would rather have all your prescriptions filled if they can because it's one less thing that they would be yelled at for. They try to order all your medications every single day but they can only give to you what they can get from their warehouse and distributor because just in case you forgot or do not know, the technicians, nor the Pharmacist inside that store, DO NOT personally make your Adderalls, or your Vyvanse, or your Ozempic or Mounjaro, or any other med that is on backorder, at the back of their pharmacy. So please, instead of leaving these unkind and harsh reviews or comments about stuff that these hardworking people cannot control, give them words of kindness and appreciation.”

“I was surprised to see so many negative reviews so I wanted to make sure to leave mine. I have been using this pharmacy for over 7 years and have nothing but nice things to say. I have had a few insurance issues in that time and the pharmacist has always spent time calling to fix the issues for me when I couldn’t get through on my own. Today I went in with quite a list of over the counter medications I needed from the doctor. I went to the pharmacy counter with a question and the pharmacist came out to pick the items off the shelves for me. When I checked out, the cashier noticed that I was ill and wished me well and was so nice!”
