“We had so much fun photographing a wedding at Glastonbury Boathouse. The venue was like a blank space, which allowed Lauren and Antonio to easily incorporate important elements of Antonio’s Mexican heritage like hanging Papel picado (Mexican pennant flags) from the beautifully vaulted ceilings. Their ceremony took place overlooking the glistening Connecticut River just before sunset... which meant we got to sneak away for a few minutes during cocktail hour to capture the most amazing sunset photos on the dock. Such a wonderful and fun space!”
“I don't know why this place is labeled "equipment rental", as I believe it to be a banquet/party/ ceremony of any type facility. As it happens, we were there with family and friends, after a loved one's funeral service. The buffet food, bar and bartender, as well as the waitress and desserts were all outstanding.”
“Great impromptu birthday party! Kids had a great time bowling and playing laser tag while the grown ups had lunch in the bar! Food was good and service was great.”
“The Mrs saw their website and convinced me to do their outdoor breakfast in Early October with their farm grown and prepared ingredients. Great view, good food, outstanding service. Their apple pies are some of the BEST I’ve had. Not too sweet, just the right cinnamon, and the apples were cut thinner to allow for a nice tender cook. Many times apples are too thick or too hard when you cook them, but these are outstanding.”
“My mom and I had a wonderful pre-Mother's Day dinner. Our table was in the fully-glassed area looking out at the waterfall, so a lovely view. The food was delicious - get the Tuxedo Bomb for dessert. It is the bomb! The attention we received from all staff - hostesses and servers - was above and beyond. Excellent restaurant and dining experience!”

“We went there friday night for a country music band and we really liked it.Great band and food, also the people are all very friendly and nice. Great staff !If I could make a suggestion, it would be that the bar area possibly have an exhaust fan running. Unfortunately, when they open the bar door to use the bathroom, the smoke shoots straight down the hallway to the venue where the music in the bingo is played.Many elderly people have COPD or other problems with their lungs so that’s the only reason I would bring it up.”
“First time went for Easter Brunch 2024. Food very good. Lots of variety. Room could have been decorated with flowers or an ice sculpture just to elevate it a bit. Didn't seem festive. A little stuffy in there too. Husband said mens room bathroom was missing a toilet seat, seriously, that's really ridiculous not to be fixed, especially before a holiday. Might try it again. Maybe.”
“Six senior citizens. Six separate checks. Five were on time, the 6th arrived about 25 minutes later. Our server was Emma. She was awesome! Friendly, funny, efficient and patient. She answered all of our silly questions and made sure we had everything we needed while waiting. Once the 6th person arrived, she took our orders and refilled waters and asked if anyone wanted additional drinks. Our meals arrived together and every special request was on target. The food was good and meals were large enough for leftovers for most of us. I would definitely go to Beni's again, and would be happy to be seated at Emma's table.”

“Placed an order through doordash and I am super satisfied! Finding food late night past 12:00 is difficult. The food came hot and fresh. Even the side salad had great leafy greens. I ordered the jerk chicken which has a nice smokey grill flavor. I also left a note on DOORDASH to add gravy and this is the first restaurant this whole year that read the special notes section so I give it a 10/10.Your food will come fresh and done correctly, apparently NO MATTER THE TIME! Order from this place if you can’t find fresh food past 12.”

“My boyfriend and I had the best anniversary weekend at the Charles Cheney Inn! Laura and her husband are incredible hosts. She puts out a breakfast spread every morning, and beyond that, even asked our preferences as to what she would make fresh. We stayed in the blue room and would highly recommend it to others! It is beautifully kept with a super comfortable bed. Bonus: The outside of the mansion is perfect for photos.”
