One young female employee was very rude and almost judging the whole (short) time I tried to walk around the store while there were other people walking around, we were signaled out. I was asked why I wanted to do the color I wanted to do and was told everyone is doing that and to do better.
It was very hard to shop when you have an employee judging your whole life (pausing, questioning, and making faces at my friend and I if what we said isn't what the employee would have choose or preferred). Things got uncomfortable after a while when trying to look around at dresses ourselves, we were asked if my friend and I had dates to prom, our ages (minors), where we went to school (after saying our school, we were told that makes sense?? Idk what that is supposed to mean)
Also during my experience my friend that bought a dress from Ma Joli days before was told to return it after showing it to the employee when the employee asked what she was doing for prom. (knowing they don't have a return policy) she said “your really doing that for your senior prom”
The dresses tags are also cut off so you cant see the original brand that made the dress or where it’s coming from. When my friend brought her dress to be modified at a bridal shop, they let her know this is not legal! A few searches and you can find out thats true.
(NOTE: If you remove a label containing required information, the label you substitute also must contain that required information. Otherwise, you’ve violated the Textile Act.)
My friend also bought a dress from here for $180, but when being rung up it was rung up as $200 because there was no tag on the dress & she had to correct them and bring up the same dress that did have a tag, be careful of little things like that and you could find a cute dress here! I was excited to shop here until my experience. (Windsor next store has same quality, ?? and I was not harassed while I shopped)
