I have brought several pieces of nice jewelry here over the years for repair and have always been happy. Recently had a broken gold clasp swapped, a diamond ring made smaller and a gold bracelet with stones made smaller. I am bringing another gold and diamond ring in to be sized today which prompted me to write this review. I like that they don't send things out and have my stuff ready quickly. Have also had them change watch batteries when I am unable to do them myself.

I learned about the school after getting my watch strap fixed. my son decided to take the basic course, as he liked tinkering. The course was informative and now he does all the watches batteries for my family!

Allowed me to learn how to repair watches in a few months! Oleg helped me when I got stuck through the phone. I would recommend him and the school if you want to start a business in repairing watches or as a passing hobby.

Way to expensive and won't stand behind his work. Had my Rolex hands repaired and when I got the watch back I did not work, they refused to even look at it. I took it to someone else to have it fixed, the staff was broken , I was told it could never have worked.

HORRRRRRRRRIBLE BUSINESS!! Richard is a con artist and a liar! James also false quoted me on my repair. Cheaper and better service at Fine Gold in Hartford. NEVER GO HERE THEIR BAD BUSINESS WILL CLOSE THEIR STORE DOWN EVENTUALLY. You’re welcome for saving you and your time!

I'm on my second course through these guys and i have to say...INCREDIBLE, nothing but positive experiences. They've helped me immensely through the first course with any questions. They are very understanding when real life gets in the way and will give 3 week extensions when a deadline is coming up. Their courses are done through the mail, you get a dvd and booklet that detail each lesson, as well as all the tools you will need to perform any jewelry or watch repairs from the course. Once you finish a lesson you mail it back and they grade it.

I never write reviews but this needs to be said. I dropped off my Seiko diver to have the gaskets replaced and the watch pressure tested. The owner called me a few days later and I was told the watch has a leak, and that only the manufacturer can replace it. This watch is over 25 years old and Seiko has long since stopped all service on their older watches. So I go and pick it up and the guy tells me the same thing we talked about on the phone and adds that they just filled up the crown and pushers with silicone to help keep water out. That will be $85 dollars please. So I paid and left. I wanted a second opinion on if this guy was just feeding me a line of bull about not being able to fix the watch. So I found a reputable watch repair place online and sent it off. The email I received a week later was pretty informative. The email is below... The estimate on your watch is: Notes: Crown oring leaks. Stem is rusted. Battery has leaked. It is a very low quality battery and that is typical of low quality batteries. They can destroy a watch. Oversized case back gasket installed. Pusher orings are worn and do not seal properly. Movement needs cleaning. *Pusher orings $44 *Crown oring $26 *Seiko Diver Analog/digi Quartz Tuneup $98.95 So I guess Jewelry Repair Center of New England can't repair very much. They also didn't notice any of the other problems that were wrong with the watch and charged me $85 bucks for some silicone. The owner is a hack and I wouldn't recommend anyone to use their service.
