I brought in a Bose CD drive which seriously needed cleaning. My CD's, which played with no issues in other CD drives, were unplayable on my Bose device -- they would stop and start (or stop and not restart). The proprietor of JB Electronics, in less than 24 hours, thoroughly cleaned the CD drive and tested it without any help from Bose. Now it plays perfectly the same CD's on which it had been failing. Moreover, the service was relatively inexpensive -- about $75 (which certainly beats paying $600 or more for a new Bose device). The proprietor is semi-retired and works out of his basement. Don't let that fool you -- he knows what he is doing, and is perfectly honest and straightforward. I recommend his service without qualification.

My receiver wasn’t working, outwardly everything looked fine, no jams, dings or broken buttons. I assumed an electrical issue due to connecting my record player and speakers in the incorrect order. I went to JB to get my receiver fixed and he informed me that he wasn’t able to fix it due to the nature of the “damage”. When I came to pick up my receiver, it was in worse shape than when I dropped it off. The on/off button was broken (which it wasn’t before) amongst other things.I was utterly gutted as this is a classic, collectible receiver from the 70s. I recommend going to another location. JB is a nice guy but I’m looking to get my ish fixed and if it can’t be fixed, not be in worse shape than when I dropped it off.

Jack was great to work with. Brought him my vintage receiver that hasn't been used in 15+ years. He provided a thorough cleaning and it's been working great ever since. Great service - quick turnaround. Definitely use again.

Jack is a wizard! Fixed my VCR/DVD recorder in 2 days time! Works out of his basement, and he's been doing his craft for over 40 years! If he can't fix it, nobody can!

Tough to find honesty when trying to get anything repaired, not just stereo equipment. John has shown me there are still good people out there just trying to make a living like most of us. Right from the start he kept in contact with me about my power amp repair. Got it back and haven't had a problem since.

I don't know what he fixes but, apparently he doesn't fix anything..... Confused? Me too. He told me he doesn't fix TVs if it needs a motherboard he puts a new one in. Isn't that fixing it? I wasn't trying to get a TV fixed btw. But he couldn't help me or just wouldn't help me other than to tell me to call the manufacturer... Good luck

JB Electronics repaired my 22" LG tv, where the big box electronics "squad" repair told me it would cost more to repair than buy new. The power supply insert fell apart. Only needed the electrical connection, so JB hardwired it to the board, for 1/5 of what the TV cost, or buying new. Well worth it, and unconventional to the big box option of ordering a whole new board + labor cost, which is what "squad" told me was required. Go to this guy. He's much more practical! Now I've got tv back in perfect working order! Both my wallet and I are happy.

John was fantastic. Reasonable bench fee which included cleaning my peavey classic 30 amp thoroughly. This solved one of my problems but I also needed a new reverb unit which he ordered and installed within a week of me dropping off the amp. Very reasonable prices, great turnaround time, and clearly good work. I will definitely be going back to him with any of my future electronics issues.

Jack's the Best Whenever any of my electronic equipment would break down, I would always just buy a new one, but when my Sony 400 disc CD player quit on me, I couldn't find anything similar to replace it. So, I gave Jack a call, and sure enough, he fixed it. He was honest, and did the job quickly, at a reasonable price. I was very happy. Great JobThanks again, Jack

$30 bucks for a couple capacitors replaced and he checked the other ones on the board while he was at it. Saved me from having to shell out $300 for a new monitor and it took less than a half hour.

Excellent experience! At first I was worried as his business is ran out his house and not a storefront. Jack was very knowledgable and identified the problems with my stereo speaker even before I got home after dropping it off. He was very friendly and very fair on the price. Highly recommend. Give this humble professional your business over the glitzy, impersonal audio shops in the area.
