Took my car in for a estimate it needed a timing belt cover and a few other things they quoted me 600 ended up being 720 and i was told its all i needed and my car would be fine i had them do the work got it back next day and my throttle cable wasnt put back on and my car was idling high i went back to get that put on and they realized they needed to redo the timing again, got it back that night next day drove 15 min no issues 5 min headed back cars over heating and dumping coolant (which it never did before) next day rush it to them then they tell me it needs a head gasket and the head is warped its going to cost 1000 after i just spent 720 with them and no where did they mention that in there original estimate or i wouldent have even did the work in the first place its a older car

I couldn’t find a decent place to work on my 1957 Chevy until someone told me about D&J Auto Care. Dave said he could fix my Chevy. Even tho he works on foreign cars, he certainly knew about old American cars. He had my car in for about 3 weeks. He got all my gages working and did the brakes and front end. Great guy to know.

I had a very bad experience having my TD painted. It took much longer than originally agreed even accounting for some extra work that needed to be done. The chassis was left out in the weather resulting in rust in several areas including the transmission. The quality of the paint job was poor, several panels had to be redone because of blotches and runs in the paint. They also welded over the holes for the front indicator lights requiring them to be drilled back out again in order to install the lights. When the car was returned, the chassis which had been freshly restored and painted was covered in dust and residue from the body work. It had to be completely repainted. I would not recommend using them for body work or painting.
