Amazing. I'll recommend him to anyone. Brian took time to explain each of the functions of our system, and saved us THOUSANDS of dollars from going with companies that made it seem our chimney was in terrible condition. Brian is wonderful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable.

Brian came out to check out my chimney. I had water coming into the cellar during heavy rains. I knew it was coming from the chimney as it was coming down the wall. First off Brian did a free check of the chimney. He showed me where it was coming in. He showed me how there was missing tiles. along the top. Something that was supposed to have been fixed before my closing over ten years ago. He checked the chimney & said it was filthy. Speaking with Brian is like talking to a good friend. Brian, His wife, two sons and a nephew came out to clean & repair my chimney. They also re cemented one of my stair for free. Their quality of work was fantastic. The family is wonderful! They are trustworthy, loving & caring people. His price is very reasonable. I am recommending to them to everyone I know.

I have never left a review before. I would have given zero stars if that were an option.
We hired this company primarily to fix a chimney leak. They installed flashing--incorrectly, nailing it directly into the roof. It will cost several hundred dollars to repair that damage to the roof.
Worse, they not only did not fix the leak--they made it substantially worse by sealing the entire chimney with the wrong type of product, causing water entering the masonry to be trapped and essentially funneled down into the wall and ceiling of our bedroom. The small leak we started with has now ballooned into:
(1) having to rebuild our chimney at a cost of several thousand dollars;
(2) having to have the roof repaired as already described; and
(3) having the walls and ceiling in our second floor opened up and repaired--and also in all likelihood cleaning out mold behind that formed due to the increased leak.
We got quotes from four roofing and chimney companies in the course of trying to repair the issue post-Brian's Chimney. Every one of them was dumbfounded at how horribly done and simply wrong the work appeared. They were no longer confused when we told them who did that work.
Don't make the same mistake we did. It was an incredibly, incredibly expensive one both in terms of money and stress. I would feel guilty leaving such a bad review if it weren't for the unanimous opinion every professional we've spoken to had about this company. They have a bad reputation for good reason.

When someone takes the time to log into google to write a review, it’s either one of two scenarios: incredible service or terrible. This is the later. I was referred to Brian by a trusted friend. Called, set up a time for an estimate, and cleared my Saturday to accommodate their schedule. Saturday came and went. No call, no show. I leave three voice messages from Saturday into the next week. Reach out to my friend and tell him that unfortunately, Brian no showed me. I get another referral, but wanting to make this work for my friend’s sake, I give Brian one more call. They pick up, apologize for the no show and unreturned calls. They tell me there was a family emergency. I completely understand, I tell them I know these things happen. We schedule another estimate. Guess what happens? No call, no show. Now, I’m aware that emergencies happen when they happen…but what do you think the odds are? I’ve now wasted a Saturday afternoon and cleared another workday schedule just to be no-call no-showed twice. A simple courtesy phone call would have been all I needed. Could’ve avoided this review. Instead, I am now going out of my way to post this review here and on yelp. Fingers crossed there wasn’t actually another emergency, because I honestly feel bad. Just, for this to happen twice with no courtesy heads up call is just maddeningly inconsiderate and unprofessional.

If I could give them a big fat Zero, I would. They did work on my Chimney when I closed on my first home back in December of 2021. Here is what they were supposed to do: Written Estimate
-The repair of a chimney. The chimney will be re-pointed completely, the flashing sealed and a new cement crown put on.
-The furnace flue will be cleaned;
- A multi-flue stainless steel chimney cap will be put on;
I've reached out multiple times. 3 times vial email and NUMEROUS phone calls with concerns of the water leaking into my attic from my Chimney with no response over the past two years of living here. Today I had a Chimney person come out to evaluate what was happening on my roof and surprised I was :
***The cement crown was not replaced, it's skimmed over. It's chipping so badly it absolutely cannot be new. Some kind of skimming was placed over the current crown.
***The chimney was NOT flashed, silicone was globbed on to and in between cracks.
***The brick work is unprofessional and ugly.
The only good news I got that I cannot credit to Brian's Crappy Service was that aside from the nails sticking out, my roof is in pristine condition. I am so upset and disappointed that they took my hard earned money as a first time homeowner, during COVID at that and they knew they didn't intend to do the job at hand.
I have pictures of this shabby job. I'm not sure if next steps yet but some are definitely coming

DO NOT HIRE EVER! I used this company to put in a new chimney liner at the same time I was getting a new furnace in 2021. Upon inspection/service of the new furnace this past week - it did not pass. I was shocked as everything was brand new! I was advised to get the chimney checked out first before they looked to the furnace as the problem. So I called Brian's - since they installed it - and never heard back. I got another chimney company to come out and they were shocked at what they found. See the pictures. Completely wrong type of liner had been installed, it was a used liner not a new one, they did not run it to the bottom on either end and instead just used an OPEN piece of sheet metal at the furnace pipe entrance and cemented the sides of it to the foundation wall. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!??? No wonder smoke was coming back through the furnace pipe. He left his rope in the liner and the top part of the liner was halfway closed off, and had barbed wire all over it and was twisted like it was just shoved in there without the correct angles and did not even go all the way down on the outside. There was no insulation around it along the bricks that are outside of the home to keep the winter cold out of that area and keep the masonery off it. Everything had to be torn out and then all new had to be installed that cost thousands to fix. So Brian's Chimney Service completely ripped me off and they are completely inept! No wonder I never got a call back. And thank God I have an oil tank and not gas or would have been subject to carbon monoxide poisoning since would not have smelled it. If it wasn't such a pain in the butt to sue them, I definitely would sue. This company put my family is a lot of danger. Again, DO NOT HIRE. P.S. I gave 1 star because they showed up for the job so they could I guess \

Brian stopped out to clean the chimney in the home we just purchased. Upon inspection, he could see that there were no problems and the chimney didn't need cleaning. He inspected everything and said we were good to go! Didn't try and charge me for unneeded work. In fact, upon hearing we were new to the area, he even passed along a list of local contractors and servicemen for future reference! Highly recommend this man and his company!

I have now used Brian's Chimney Service at two different homes, and both times had a great experience. He was a great communicator ahead of time, confirmed the work to be done and the time of arrival. On the day the service was to take place he was prompt, re-confirmed the work to be done and the time it would take, and was extremely clean. I would definitely use Brian again.Services: Chimney inspections

I called Brian, I have a Chimney that I have never used since I bought the house. He was very polite and shared his knowledge, I have never used a Chimney before, and still have not used it. He inspected and cleaned it. For the second chimney, the furnace uses, he inspected and said that was good. He seems honest, I had not used the chimney yet.

Brain came out to my house, gave a great price and they were here to do the work quickly. I had multiple quotes, one of which said I needed a partial rebuild of my chimney. Brian showed why this was not true, and fixed my chimney saving me thousands of dollars. I recommend this company.Service: Chimney repair & restoration

I’ve been calling this company a few times a day for the past three days to repair the chimney, after having been given a reasonable estimate. I have not received a response from anyone, after leaving messages to return my calls.The same automated female voice responds when called, stating that someone will call back, which has not been true.I can’t understand how a business can remain afloat if calls and requests are not addressed within a reasonable period of time. This lack of responsiveness is an alarming indicator of the overall performance and quality of a business.

I asked for an estimate and no one showed up. They were so respectful on the phone but I now have to call another company. They came highly recommend so this is a disappointment.

He did a very good job. He showed up with a mask and hepa vacuum. He did a great job, was clean and told me two out of my three flues did not need to be cleaned. Honest, clean and thorough. Five stars all the way!
