Horrible here's why ordered optimum(300mbs internet only) scheduled appointment to get installed. The day before I get email saying my appointment has been canceled because I didn't pay a $15 installation fee even though they never said anything or sent email etc..so had to pay it and schedule for another day no problem. Day comes for installation guy installs no problem cool but turns out it's not working cuz they decided to charge me for 1gb plan instead of 300mbs so tech guy says it'll b about 20min they have to move switch the plan over etc.. cool 30min go by no internet then an hr nothing 2hrs nothing oli call optimum turns out they deactivated my account n never reactivated it I of course go reactivate it but still have no internet..optimum says their a "power outage in my area" ok by this point I had to leave for a week come back home got internet awesome check my mbs im getting 1gb instead of 300mbs so call them of course n their charging me for 1gb plan instead of 300mbs plan got it straightened out to the correct plan but they said I have to bring my router to a store cuz 300mbs is not compatible with my plan so I drive to the store just for them to tell me I don't need a new router it can handle up to 2gb so 300mbs is compatible called optimum to see what's going on and everything's fine on their endMy experience may not b the same has yours but keep this in mind please

The thing that I find most insulting about Cablevision, not the say they are unlike other internet and TV service providers, is that they offer great deals for new customers but if you're a dedicated long-time customer you get the worst prices. In addition I noticed that sneakily my internet service connection has gradually declined in speed over the month I'm sure this is not an accident. When you walk into a Cablevision customer service center the people there don't give a flying crap about what you got to say or what's your problem is call the company don't bother us.UPDATE: went to frontier but they kept upping prices so I decided to go back with optimim. 2 appointments to install fibre.1st apt - guy came but they couldnt proceed because noone ran wire to pole so new apt set.2nd appointment - noone shows up - changing review to 1 star

At my parents house, waiting for the cable/apps/internet to work. Its only been this way the last 6 years so maybe its still updating. My father is confined to a chair and cant really do anything but watch tv, or in optimums case, watch black/loading screens. Clearly its expensive, but if it worked it wouldnt be as bad. Myvfather said hes sick of calling because everytime you send a service person over, they blame the last guy and still dont fix it. Unfortunately this is the only option besides dish in the area. You suck

The absolute worst service provider I have ever had the experience of dealing with,everything is outsourced, you can barely understand anyone, and the reoccurring problems with internet haven't been solved for months after 2 service calls.

Optimum sent a bad SIM card, had no service for the weekend. Went to the Optimum store on Monday and the assistant put a new card in ,we where done in 10 minutes.

Just keep the prices low and keep your customers happy don't let them fully cancel and then offer a better deal do it before they leave.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! One hour on the phone to cancel service! I would give 0 stars if possible. Definitely need improvement in customer service. They follow a script even if your situation for calling doesn’t fit their script. The rep was very inconsiderate of the situation that was explained to them. I would definitely recommend choosing another provider other than Optimum.

I canceled my service with them after 8 years. I repeatedly tried to get a deal on my internet. And they bundled it with a phone line that I didn't need. And I changed internet and saved over 50 pewhen I told them that they should all. We can give you $55 a month for the same service that you currently have. Cutting my bill in more than half.

Horrible utilities that should have license to operate. Horrible customer service. 5 call just to cancel 9 hours later finally canceled for services not working. They called a 5th time trying to get me back. Idiots!So bad service all around
