Dave Tetlow and his crew and sub-contractors were a pleasure to work with. They coordinated well and got the work done with great attention to detail. Some of the excavation work was tricky because of limited space and it was a challenge tying the roofs of the existing buildings together. In both cases, the results came out extremely well. Dave was always available and he kept me well informed about all aspects of the progress. He interfaced very well with the electrical, plumbing, heating contractors and inspectors so that the phases of the construction were ready when their input was needed. Overall, the work was done very well and completely.

Exceptional: We found Dave and his team back in 2019. We maintained contact as we budgeted for our project, and even with the recent spike in prices he was still very reasonable compared to the competition. He's attention to detail and that of his workers I found to be exceptional. Dave and his team have very high standards and whenever I had feedback on any point or a change he did exactly what I wanted no debate, even if he had to do some reasonable re-work. Tetlow is from this point out, my go-to, and a litmus test for other contractors. If he recommends a contractor they have preference.

Dave and his crew finished our completely unfinished basement, adding a bedroom, living space, and 3/4 bathroom. We were pleased with Dave’s pleasant demeanor and accepted his project proposal. We most liked that he provided a structured payment plan - payment were due when certain projects were completed, so there was no worry of him not finishing what he promised. The finished product is impressive, and our family is enjoying the functional and beautiful space that Dave and crew created. Dave finished the project in a reasonable time frame and within budget.

Our experience with Tetlow Builders was fantastic! Dave Tetlow and his entire crew was top notch! The workmanship was superior, and the communication was spot on! We worked extremely well together. Dave was great to bounce our ideas off of. We came up with lots of great unique features in the project. We started with an addition adding 2 rooms, a full bath and a separate laundry room and hallway. We were so very pleased we added on many more jobs! We added trim work, kitchen backsplash, counter and sink, flooring throughout our summer cottage, a patio and sidewalk, and even a full outdoor shower as well. We have already recommended him to friends. We will use Tetlow Builders again and again when needed. Better experience than expected!!!

Dave and his crew were wonderful to work with. Dave was excellent with communication and kept me updated the entire time. I especially appreciated his construction knowledge and ability to manage the snags that came up along the way. He took care of everything, providing suggestions and solutions throughout the process, relieving me of many headaches. I love the work he completed and have received numerous compliments from neighbors!

A dream come true! Dave, his team and all of his sub contractors did an excellent job on our newly constructed home. From the ground breaking to the finishing touches and everything in between, it was executed in a timely manner. After our first meeting with Dave, we knew he was our guy. He is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of construction. We told him our vision and he made our dream come true. He was patient and understanding during all of our decision making. He was informative about day to day progression and still to this day, even after moving in and living in our home, is super responsive to emails and phone calls. It went very well, if slower than we had hoped. Unforeseen electrical issues caused a rather long delay, but it all worked out. Quality of work is very high. Dave is very pleasant, honest, attentive, communicative and has experience in all the areas of renovation and residential construction. His workers were also professional and dedicated.

We are absolutely thrilled with the work that was done to our home. Dave and his crew were punctual and personable. Along with the siding, he got our garage door installed as well and we were very pleasantly surprised when Dave did a couple of extra things that were not included in the contract.( installed some recessed lights for our porches and direct wired our Ring doorbell). We feel he went above and beyond for this job and would gladly hire him again for our next contracting need! Even our Newfie loved him! :)

David and his team did a wonderful job of replacing a rather aged second-floor bedroom deck. The end result was so good that it put my ground floor deck to shame, so I asked him do a similar job on the ground floor deck. In addition his team excavated and removed a failing retaining wall around my basement walkout. The new concrete block wall looks so much better than the original timber-retained wall.

Tetlow Builders is a great company with which to do business. Dave clearly understands the importance of doing quality work, and responding in a timely fashion to any customer concerns or questions. In my case, the tasks at hand were installation of gutters, installation of basement windows, and the replacement of a garage door. Everything looks superb. Tetlow Builders truly has the customer's best interests in mind, and I highly recommend them for any sort of home construction or repair job.

Our master bath had a crack and “springiness” on the floor in front of the shower enclosure.
I pulled up some of the tiles and the sub-floor and wood from the shower were SOAKED! And smelled awful!
We initially thought it would need just some tile replacement; we contacted Dave Tetlow of Tetlow Builders LLC.
We asked Dave Tetlow to come and take a look and provide a proposal for the repairs. He did and upon review of the damage he saw, we realized, due to his expert opinion, it seemed to indicate, our shower had been slowly leaking for quite some time, most likely years!
We then contacted our insurance company and 2 other contractors to provide estimates.
We were covered by the insurance (minus the deducible of course) and both of the additional 2 other proposals far exceeded Tetlow builders estimate.
We appreciated Dave’s knowledge and his suggestion (he was the only one) to recommend the installation of The Schluter®-Shower System, which seemed the best way to repair and protect the enclosure.
We also appreciated Dave’s demeanor much more from the other company’s salespeople we met, and felt a better rapport with him.
We chose Tetlow builders, LLC as our contractor, they started the work and we realized that the scope of work had to be exceeded (which was covered by insurance as well) from the original estimate.
Dave provided additional quotes and worked with us and our insurance company to get all the repairs accomplished.
Dave and his crew did a GREAT JOB, were pleasant to work with and be around. Were respectful of our home (used drop cloths to walk on as to not track dirt into the house!)
The work done by Dana Ken and Dave was top notch.
We would hire them again, and in fact, have already referred him to friends and our clients several times. We will continue to do so.
We highly recommend Tetlow Builders, LLC and urge all Angie’s List members in our area that may need his services to contact Dave Tetlow.
