Located just around the corner from Line Rock Park. House is full of race car memorabilia. Tiny bathroom and shower but nice big hot tub in the backyard. Free snacks and Keurig coffee. Miniature Drake's apple pie, Hostess cup cakes and power bars. Pizza place delivers. Also first aid if you need it.

This was horrifying. We couldn't get in touch with the host for hours, and we had some problems we wanted to address (the room was steamy, cats were let into the guest bedrooms, we weren't given keys or a way to secure our room. We had to rebook a hotel in the mean time because we couldn't get in touch with the host. When we did hours later, she was defensive, dismissive and rude.

This was a very crowded house rented for a wedding. Owner hosted a party for 50 people at the house while our party of 6 was attended the wedding. When we returned there were still people at the house partying.

A wonderful cosy home in a beautiful area. Our hosts were very welcoming and we had a nice evening chatting around the fire pit. The two cats are so adorable. There are a lot of attractions in the area, including the Appalachian Trail for hiking and Lime Rock Park for motorsport.

At first, it felt odd renting a room in a lived in home, but it grew on me! I felt at home and enjoyed the two very nice kitties who live there. Snacks and breakfast foods were well stocked and available for self service.

Very clean and a fun place to stay. The hot tub looking out at the stars at night was so cool and the sky was so clear. The host was also super friendly and made sure everything was okay during our stay. I loved the open kitchen that had coffee and hot chocolate whenever I wanted. The other guests that stayed in the house (in a different room) at the same time as me were also great a friendly. Felt very much like home. Highly recommend

No privacy and the expectations of privacy are not outlined. If I had known people would be walking through my shower area I would have paid more for the Interlaken inn.

Poor communication, shady and/or poor business practices.
TL;DR - We reserved the entire house for a weekend, sent a deposit off, and only after many attempts to get in touch with the owner over the course of months, we're told that she had "forgotten about our reservation, the check for the deposit never arrived, and a racing team has booked the house for the weekend and it's no longer available. Sorry."
Each year in July my wife and I attend the IMSA race weekend at Lime Rock Park and we decided we'd like to book the whole house for the weekend due to the convenient location. My wife emailed and called in December 2016 to book the house for July 2017. The owner was surprised that we were calling so early but said we were the first to ask about it and she took our names and information down and reserved the entire house for us on the dates we wanted. She said she would call with an amount and address to send the deposit. After us calling and emailing few times and waiting for a response for two months we finally got the address to send the deposit. We wrote a check for a $300 deposit and sent it off and then once again heard nothing for close to two months and noticed the check had yet to be cashed. My wife tried calling again and after a couple of failed attempts finally managed to get in touch with the owner in April 2017.
The owner then proceeded to tell my wife that she had "forgotten" about our reservation, despite taking down our information and telling us to send her a check, and claimed that she never received the deposit. She then stated that one of the race teams running at the Park that weekend had now booked the house and it was no longer available for us. So at this point we were out of luck and after doing some searches, the nearest hotels that had any rooms were in Massachusetts and New York and wanted over $400 dollars a night. So we disappointingly had to make the decision to skip the race weekend this year. We got to see the on TV, at least.
While I can't prove it, my instincts tell me that the race team called after we did and were told the house wasn't available and they offered more money than what the going rate for the weekend was and in turn our reservation was "forgotten" and our check "lost in the mail".
