“I was in CVS clinton recently and a young person came in with his shirt over his face. He clearly wanted to be wearing a mask. The gentleman employee whom I think was newer as I have not seen him before saw him and was so extremely kind to him I was impressed. He asked him if he wanted a mask and ran and gave him a couple to keep with him. So many times I see people kicked out for not wearing masks (senseless if you think about it and wanting revenue-keep masks available if needed). I see people grudgingly making judgements either way. This man saw this kids desire and handled him kindly and professionally and went out of his way to do so.”
“CVS honestly usually doesn't make me a happy camper. I had an issue running out of medication while traveling, and TWO CVS stores couldn't help me. Laura, at this Guilford one, overheard me getting denied for the third time, and helped me out in transferring my prescription. Again, out of THREE CVS stores, Laura was the ONLY employee willing/able to help. So, realistically, this review is 1 star for CVS and 5 stars for Laura, but I'm very thankful for her service.”

“Walgreens in Deep River has greatly improved in the last few years. The general store part of it is well-stocked and well-organized with very friendly staff. The pharmacy is often out of my medication or my insurance doesn’t want to approve it so I know to reorder early. The staff has been very good about working with my insurance and resubmitting to get approval and make sure I can have my medication.My criticism is that their grounds and garden area seem pretty much an afterthought. I would like them to spend a bit of money on making their exterior prettier so it looks well-cared for and. Or like a 7-11 parking lot.”

“The store and cashier's are great, Lynn Beamer is pleasant and helpful. Pharmacy techs Barbara and Mary are the best but the usual pharmacist is horrible. Went to pick up an RX that was ordered 4 days prior that needed an authorization not there. I was told they had faxed the Dr everyday, I contacted the Dr and they never received anything. This is the third time different scripts, different Drs I have been told they never received anything. Thankful that Barbara and Mary are usually able to straighten things out if they are on.”
“Everyone I have come across here is helpful and niceCalm atmosphere and a great place for vaccinesIt's a small pharmacy, but they have everything from toys, candy, some hardware items, hair products, medicine and all sorts of other thingsVery convenient if you are passing by on 81 toward Killingworth/interstate 9 entrances or Saybrook RoadOn a side note, there is an LQ across the street, two eateries which both close at Noon, both are great places to eat.There are two pizza places, a restaurant, Liberty Bank, post office and a local market”

“Mrs.Gail!! She was absolutely fantastic!! Super sweet very professional and helped me get exactly what i needed the second i walked through that door. I swear if there was food there also i wouldn't bother with stop and shop. Gail makes the mornings great and starts with a smile. And the manager i didnt get his name but was so sweet as well. Walked me right to qhere i needed to go but had i wondered further i wouldnt have interrupted his morning lol. There great bunch of people here. Love love love them!!!”

“I Came in 10 minutes before close with a couple of emergency items needed. I figured I would not be greeted happily seeing how late it was. However, to my surprise Cody (Manager) was more than accommodating and happy to help. I was in and out quickly as I was sure the employees were ready and wanted to go home. The Manager Cody and The Cashier Mary, both treated me with curtsy, friendliness, and the professionalism that I more than appreciated. “My experience with Guilford Walgreen was quite positive. I bought a pill cutter there but forgot to take it with me after paid because my daughter was distracting. A few days later I went back to look for it. No much expectation especially no receipt. The nice manager didn't even doubt anything but just let me take another one directly from shelf with no more pay. My life has been quite stressful, but these little kind things are like medications to mentally comfort and heal”
