Very unprofessional staff..the new guy Jeff doesn't know what he's doing, doesn't do a thing he says he'll do, they don't care about people it's all about the money.being a driver for them you work hard. They reward you with a 30 dollar Christmas bonus...very insulting..The state needs to watch this organization, they put no money back into the place, they just take..the trucks and equipment are unsafe.

If you do what you're supposed to and follow direction from your counselor, you'll do just fine.

I am so upset that the rehabilitation center immediately refuse to except me into their program because of a criminal offense I committed 30 years ago. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 1997, and been a very productive member of society for the past 11 years. I am physically ill with rheumatoid arthritis and cannot do alot of normal everyday activities. I cannot work because my rheumatologist says "no" so now I Iost my apartment and furniture.

We arranged pickup of furniture in Meriden CT and were given an appointment more than 10 days after we wanted to get rid of the furniture but we made all our plans around this date so as to donate to them. We have already donated to the Salvation Army in MA and wanted to support the local branch. We were given a window from 7 am until 4 pm so we arrived there around 7 and waited and waited as we do not live there. It is 45 miles from our home. Then we called and spoke with someone who said they were coming between 12 and 1 and we could call back to check for an update. We did but no one answered the phone so still we waited. They finally came around 1.30 pm, took a quick look at our items, 2 beds complete with box-spring, mattress and frames and a love-seat. They rejected all the items and left quickly. One of the beds was in perfect condition as was the love-seat. They claimed it was old but it was not ripped, stained and was firm to sit on. One of the beds had minor staining, dye from a pillowcase, easily removable but the other bed had no stains at all but they claimed they sent pictures and the items were rejected! This is just so wrong as they clearly just wanted to go home and couldn't be bothered to load the items. So I confirm completely what other reviews have said. We wasted all day waiting for them and then they didn't take perfectly good items. I will never use them again, it is a complete con!

Donation pickup scheduled between 12:00-2:00. They were at my home 10:50. I just left work and told them I would be there within 30 minutes. Drivers didn't wait and when I called, I was told I'd have to reschedule another pickup. I'm not going to take more time off from work for a donation. Very disappointed with Salvation Army.

Agree that they are extremely unprofessional, rude, and reject extremely good condition/perfect items. One of the SOLID WOOD chairs had a small scratch on the back and they refused ALL FOUR CHAIRS AND THE PERFECT CONDITION TABLE. This was after making my husband wait all day for them to arrive. They also rejected a perfectly beautiful futon (cherry wood) due to a food stain ON THE COVER (mattress was perfect condition.) My husband offered to simply remove the cover, they said not to bother. Didn't take the futon frame or even look at the mattress. They sure hopped on the expensive yard blower ($300) though. They also declined the office chairs, MINT condition, saying "We don't take office furniture." They had been told in advance about those too. All they took was the yard blower, leaving everything else, and had I been there, they wouldn't have been given it.
