This hospital was at fault for a botched lumbar puncture - only hospital I had it at and won’t take accountability. Came back due to insane head pain and back pain and they did nothing not one cray or anything. Floor 6-1 has the WORST group of people and so unprofessional. They honestly care about their friendships and conversations over patients. Dr. Labor is a joke of a doctor who doesn’t listen to anything you say she’s in her own world and definitely not following what’s best for her patients. She as unprofessional as they come. St. Francis hospital is a sad joke of what was once a thriving GOOD hospital now it’s all about turning around beds regardless of patient care.

Misinformation. Lack of communication. Lack of supplies. Staff seems aware of bad conditions can’t disagree and a “they see it too” nod. Horrible. Second time in ER won’t go back.

My husband just got out of St. Francis hospital. He was operated on and was in ICU for 3 days and was then moved to the 8th floor for 3 days. While in ICU the care was superb, once on the 8th floor we experienced visits from an aid only once a day, no dinner delivered, and machines not connected. They never got him up to walk the halls. It was not until I called to complain that he finally started to get some care. We will think twice about going back to St. Frances in the future.

I had to take two years to process what happened to me at this hospital.
I was admitted to the hospital in late summer of 2022 after I was brutally attacked. I dislocated my shoulder, sprained my knee, and got a concussion.
At Saint Francis, I received no care whatsoever, other than them cutting my clothes off. They took no X-rays, they didn’t test me for a concussion, they just had me lay there in pain and waited for me to sober up. While I was laying there on my side crying, a nurse poked her head into the room and commented “nice butt.” I felt so dirty and it made me very uncomfortable. Even if she was being funny, it is COMPLETELY uncalled for. I popped my shoulder back in myself because they wouldn’t even look at it.
At the end, when they were having me leave after receiving no care, a woman came in and said “alright, time to pay up!” Which is incredibly unprofessional. I informed her that she could find me in the Medicaid portal and that I would not be “paying up.” She then said “well if you could give me something it would make me look really good.” I tried to sit up to turn away from her and my shoulder popped out again. I cried and asked for help but the woman rolled her computer back out and never sent a nurse in. After struggling with my arm to get it back in by myself -again- I finally left this hell hole.
I then went to Rockville General Hospital, a hospital where they actually do their job, where they treated me for a sprained ankle, my shoulder, the concussion, and diagnosed me with chronic shoulder instability.
DO. NOT. GO HERE. If I was given proper treatment that night my shoulder could have been saved. This hospital will ignore you and make the problems you came in with worse. If you need a hospital in Hartford, do yourself a favor and go to Hartford Hospital. I’ve never in my life been so disgusted with hospital staff.

Staff was professional and supportive, provided needs in efficient manner. I won't share my private medical issues but I'm glad I went they found the problem on time and was able to rectify the situation timely, I am still alive and I had many amazing Doctors and nursing staff taking care of me. Everything went well and they took time to answer all my questions, the IV went well no issues surgery went well and everything was just excellent. Thank you Suzan,Nicholas, Jessica, majia, Dr Pimentel you are all really amazing at what you do. Even if your name isn't mentioned I really thank you all staff. I am truly blessed because of you.

Shortly after an emergency c-section (and before I was even able to hold my baby), I was told that I had tested positive for oxycodone. Because of this, St. Francis would not allow me to breastfeed my baby and threatened to bar me from leaving the hospital with him. They eventually re-tested my urine (and also tested the baby's urine) and determined that the original result was a false positive. Imagine being accused of endangering your child within minutes of giving birth. Imagine not being able to nurse your baby during the first 2 days of his life. This completely ruined my birth experience and added additional trauma to an already stressful delivery.

6 hours in the waiting room and nothing was done for me , not even medication for pain . Don’t go here ! They have patients piled up in the hallway , as if we’re in another country .
