In our search for a Shower Wall Unit and faucets we visited Plimpton Hills in Hartford, CT. The showroom is expansive. Has many products on display to view, touch, and compare. Upon entering their store there is a receptionist that will take your name for a representative to better serve you. We meandered about the showroom admiring the many displays. Ann, one of their representatives, soon found us. She asked what we were looking for, listened and asked questions about our project. She is very knowledgeable about the products they offer. While listening to our questions, concerns, and descriptions of our needs Ann was also patient and thorough. We never felt rushed or pressured into our purchase. We received professional advice on products and design. It was a pleasure dealing with Ann and Plimpton Hills. Highly recommend Plimpton Hills for all your kitchen and bath needs.

Get a new receptionist. The woman at the front desk named Lisa or Linda is absolutely a disgrace for the front space of a business. I was visiting the showroom after a friend recommended it to me with my parents. The showroom itself was very nice and clean. I was able to help my parents pick out what they need for their new kitchen. But amidst our browsing, all you can hear is this rude/ cursing receptionist walking back and forth like she hates every customer who walks in. She doesn’t greet you, and she is such a negative distraction. Everyone else in sales was extremely helpful and friendly. But i definitely do not see myself coming back to where the first person you see IN reception, acts rude and unprofessional. Plimpton and Hills, choose the face of your company better.

Honestly the slowest service I have ever experienced in any plumbing supply house and I have worked in 3 States. I will also add the majority of the people who work at the front counter are ignorant, apathetic, Or just plain incompetent. When you order parts they make you pick them up at the furthest door away and the parking lot is a disaster. I have been here multiple times and the service is consistently that awful, not an isolated incident. If you're looking for a good supply house try FW Webb or Winsupply.

Selection was very good lots to look at and choose from no question about it. Why I give it a 2 experience is because the people who waited on us treated us very poorly. Like we were bothering them. We did find something we really liked but they didn't want us to take home the piece to see if it matched like we're going to steal it and not return it. I'm not going back to this place again

As others have stated the sales lady had a terrible attitude. I think her name was Jocelyn. She was irritated that I asked questions. When we stated we were purchasing today she was a bit nicer but how do you promote sales when you treat customers as if they are a nuisance. Attitude aside they had what we needed. Will not return unless we are desperate.

I went to the 2 Brainard Road showroom. I purchased copper sinks a couple of years ago when renovating my master bathroom and worked with Vito Landolfi on various fixtures and options. I looked in the clearance room and showroom and into ordering and he was so helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking out their showroom, clearance room, and talking with him. He will help you find what works for you within both your budget and personal sense of style.

Alot of reviews from employees I see. Go in there and talk to the angry little counter guy and then question how he keeps a job while ignoring people or yelling and arguing with customers and you will see why most contractors deal with the big supply house around the corner

My wife and I have visited Plimpton & Hills on several occasions and they have a huge selection of fixtures for kitchen and bath. It's a great place to understand what's available when it comes to styles, features and price. The showrooms are clean, well laid out and divided into fixture families, such as kitchens, showers, bathrooms and so on. It's a great way to understand all of your options. I would give the showroom a 4.5.What has been disappointing however is the behavior of their sales staff or "consultants" as one of them called herself. On the two occasions we have visited, the individuals with whom we spoke made us feel as if our questions annoyed them and displayed what seemed like impatience or indifference. It's not like we were asking them a ton of questions. We overheard one of the consultants working with a husband and wife and the consultant kept talking over the customer and not really appearing to listen. I would rate the sales staff a 2.0 for their unfriendliness as there seems to be a pattern,I know that P&H caters more to contractors and professionals and not to the average Joe. If that is the case, then don't open your showroom to the general public.

I came in to the counter for the first time when it was very busy, a woman named Colby helped me to find the right shower trim that I needed, she was the reason I'm giving this review..She was knowledgeable very bright and very quick with the service after taking my order she ran to get my items and was back within minutes! These five stars are for her excellent customer service. Thanks again Colby.
