Gorgeous home!! I'm happy they kept it and have taken care of it throughout the years. A wonderful trip through the history of a brilliant minded man and his family. Lots of interesting history and knowledge of the Clemmons family.

It's an amazing piece of history. My wife and I enjoyed touring and learning about it and more of Mark Twain!
The Hartford home of Samuel Clemens, AKA Mark Twain, one of America's greatest writers and social critics. Twain lived in this house from 1871-1894, and wrote some of his best-known works here, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Prince and the Pauper, Life on the Mississippi, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, A Tramp Abroad, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
Tours of the house are available daily beginning at 10:30 am; the last tour of the day begins at 3:30 pm. We also host numerous programs and events throughout the year, including some of the country's best-known authors and lecturers.
