This was my first time purchasing a brand new car, and my experience at Lia Hyundai of Hartford was better than I could have ever imagined. Azee was the best!!!! He got me the color of the exterior and interior that I wanted. We completed a deal over the phone the day before and I was in and out of the dealership in less than 90 minutes when I came to pick up the car!

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Called the service center and spoke with a lady. Told her I was waiting for an email record for my last visit due to an engine replacement in 2023. She said they got a new system so they don’t have anything. I said I was told by another guy the day before that it’ll be sent over because he looked up my info with my phone number. She said without his name she can’t help. Why does his name matter? Why can’t it be looked up with a phone number like he did. So I asked if she could enter my number and she said I cannot and went dead silent. No offer of even trying to see if it could be found. Point blank, her attitude sucks and she needs to be retrained in proper customer service. She doesn’t know how to speak to people.
UPDATE- upgrading this to a 3 star ONLY because of the service manager Gavin. Amazing guy, very pleasant and helped me get the document I needed. Even if he wasn’t able to get the document I just appreciated how nice he was and he took initiative to help. We need more people like Gavin!

I recently had a disappointing experience with . I inquired about a specific car, and instead of verifying the availability first, they went ahead and ran a credit check without informing me that the car wasn’t even in stock. When I raised this issue, their response was, “What other option would you want us to check?”
This lack of transparency and communication is not what I expected. It’s essential for a dealership to confirm the availability of a vehicle before moving forward with credit checks or any other formalities. I feel like my time and credit were needlessly impacted, and the response I received was dismissive.

Uniquely terrible service. Where do I even begin. This was my first time at Lia. I recently moved to the area and had a great experience at my last Hyundai dealership. My partner is in the market for a new car so we wanted to see if this was a place we could trust with something as simple as a routine oil change. Not only did it take over 3.5 hours for they routine oil change, but at the end they also tried to tell me I needed a whole new break system and a new rear engine guard that would amount to several thousand dollars. I took it into an actual mechanic the next week and they informed me there is absolutely nothing wrong with my car and were frankly in awe they tried to convince me I needed a new brake system at 50K (bought CPO at 30K from different hyundai dealer). I made an appointment online and arrived on time so there is no reason it should have taken this long even though it was busy. But at the end, I was the only person left in the service center around 1pm on a friday, so they likely wanted to upsell and fill the empty slots by working on car for services I absolutely did not need.
During this brief stop, they also replaced a recalled trunk latch. But the next day when I tried to open my trunk it was locked shut. I had to get on the phone with them (where they tried to blame me for it not working ???). I had to take it in again that same day and get it replaced AGAIN.
Overall, they are slow and try to take advantage of you. I was a young man wearing shorts and a T-shirt and they definitely saw me as vulnerable, not knowing much about cars, and as an opportunity to try and upsell unnecessary servicing. Do not go here if you want quality, efficiency, or respect. They are rude, slow, and did such a poor job on a simple fix that they literally needed to redo it the next day. Do not trust them with your car or your business.

Was charged 5,000$ for a temporary fix and was never told it was temporary. 6 months later the same problem and now they want more money. Extremely poor and disappointing customer service.
