The drama my wife is caught in will continue for a while, but it's such a Kafkaesque nightmare, it deserves telling. And retelling.Connecticut deposited the state's federally-backed unemployment benefits to a Keybank card. A year ago, my wife's card got defrauded. All the money was sucked out in a series of illegal transactions. She reported it and the bank sent another card. We went to a Keybank to try to withdraw the cash. The tellers wouldn't do it. Two days later, the replacement funds were stolen. My wife has been in a dance with the devil ever since. Keybank has a legal responsibility to make good on those funds. It is incomprehensible to me why they didn't take care of business the day she entered one of their banks -- on the opposite coast from where we live, by the way. And now they won't clean up a mess NOT of our making. What's up with this outfit? One of their personnel told my wife there's a ton of this fraud. It may be more than coincidental that the funds were stolen two days after my wife tried to withdraw them at the bank. And now Keybank denies any meaningful help pointing back to the state, which has no role in making good on the bank's cards, and refusing to relay this problem up the chain of command. I'm starting to think this bank is run by Russian generals... To say they suck is a literally accurate description. Sadly, they picked the wrong folks to fleece.

This is a horrible Bank my first experience the ATM took my money on a deposit and did not reflect on my account and the ATM then went out of service in the middle of me doing my transaction. They have bums that sleep inside the hallways every evening there's somebody in their stinking up the hallway by the ATM. You go there to go inside the location they're always closed they don't even tell you why they're closing it's just a horrible Bank it takes you more than 10 days when you have to dispute a transaction they're ATM is always messed up out of service or was shut down on you in the middle of your transaction and then it takes you 10 days to get your money back it's a horrible Bank

I prefer coming to this key bank, super great service, there is never a wait, no matter what time of the day it is. staff is super nice and awesome.

This bank is awful. I don't bank with them by choice, they purchased my loan from First Niagra Bank and since then have made it a living hell to service my account. It's been years and I just finally coerced my own account number out of them. Despite auto charging nearly 400 a month they would not provide me with the information. Not to mention their Call center is inexperienced. Contradicting themselves multiple times withing a ten minute conversation. I can promise you one thing: Bank with Key and you'll want to rip your hair out.

I have had many unfavorable encounters with Key Bank but this one takes the cake. After walking from my work to deposit $850 for Historical Society of East Hartford I was not feeling well and experiencing some stomach issues. I asked twice and practically begged the clerk to use the restroom and was refused both times. Needless to say I ended up with diarrhea and the results was not good when I arrived back at work. Very insensitive to the needs of their customers. I would not bank here privately and have told others of my negative encounters with this bank, whether it be in Hartford or East Hartford!

Keybank took over First Niagra. First Niagra was an amazing bank. I never had an issue with them. Keybank has been up and running for about three months. When you make a transaction with your account it takes 7 or more days for them to process it into your account. My account had fraudulent activity, it took them 10 days, to refund it to my account. Meanwhile they had charged me all $40 for every three days my account was overdrafted because they didnt process my refund in the 24 hours they told me they would. Twenty days it took to fix my account. I closed my account and I suggest you DO NOT BANK WITH THEM.

The teller I had was very very helpful. She set me up with a better deal than I had before for a lower cost, and even made some notes to do something related to my account the next day. Not a fan of the actual bank, but the service here was good.
