The Downtown Hartford YMCA offers a lot of great amenities, including a pool, spa, steam room, sauna, and hot tub, which are great for winding down. It has all the equipment needed for a workout, featuring updated, state of the art cardio equipment and free weights. The facility is very well maintained with amazing cleanliness. The staff at the front desk is friendly, always greeting everyone with smiling faces, making people feel welcome. However, some find the membership cost to be too expensive, especially compared to other YMCA locations. A day pass is considered costly and a one-day trial is not offered. The space is compact, fitting a lot into a small area, but it lacks a family locker room, which can be inconvenient.
