DO NOT RENT HERE!! Believe the reviews. They do not keep up their property. Will do their best not to fix anything in your apartment. Pest (bedbugs, mice) and the people in the office are a horror to work with. They will be accommodating until you sign the lease. They have been known to fight to keep security deposits from tenants. Don’t find out the hard way

These properties are managed by Nova Management. There currently are broken elevators (almost 2 years now), compromised broken mailboxes. There is a recurrence of roach and rat infestations, broken laundry machines, black mold, car break in's, severely outdated bathrooms and kitchens, broken laundry facilities, unprofessional staff, and lead paint, and compromised faulty wires hanging off the building. They're working one women to bits cleaning entire building complexes by herself, there are egregious rent spikes even though the property and units are deteriorating. Please don't move into any of these properties if you can help it.

My neighbor upstairs stomps constantly, she never leaves her apt. She's there to greet me when I come home with a stomp and she even stomps in the hallway above when I'm walking out. Everywhere I move in my apt she follows me to that room, even the bathroom and she runs water to let me know she's there. In the kitchen, she slams cabinet doors to let us know she's there! She has no life or job apparently and complaining on her to management DOES NOT HELP! I agree with everyone in the comments, "OFFAL MANAGEMENT!"

I lived at Carriage place apartments from 2013-2019. I can't say that I had a bad experience. Maintenance always came when I called. I've heard of some infestations with bed bugs from other tenants, but I have never experienced any of the sort. I thank God, for this place. It's safe. No one can come in the building without being buzzed in. I give it a 4 star because they do need to update. But it was very livable. I got 99% of my deposit back when I moved out, which is reasonable. It was hard to put furniture in my apartment though. The doors were too narrow for a big couch. The people at the office were descent sometimes a little attitude, but for the most part, my experience was great. I believe they are the type of people you get what you give them. So if you give them an attitude, they will give it back. Lol.

Does anyone have the corporate number I been trying get an apartment here an I feel like they just try to steal peoples money I paid $35 for application fee an gave them everything they asked for an they still asked for a co-signer an they want co-signer to fill out application when there is on one section for them to sign an want them to pay $35 also witch the money is not a problem but why do I need a co-signer when I make over $2000 a month an the rent is only $800 a month I’ve been trying to speak to a manager an she is never available what is really going on in this place.

This is a building you move into when the only other option is a cardboard box. From filthy living conditions rats and roaches to mold and inoperable intercom, elevators, non regulated off street parking, faulty door handles on main exits, broken and comprised mail boxes, unreachable and very rude maintenance and leasing and management offices, to broken furnaces and heating systems, and terrible plumbing, this building is definitely one to stand clear of if you can. If I could give it a zero I would. Elevator permits are also outdated as of 07/2020 and nothing has been done about it, mail and packages are constantly stolen, the mailman constantly treats your mail like garbage, constantly misplacing it to not putting in in the boxes at all...I believe us name was "CJ"

They don’t take care of their buildings. We’ve been here for a year and are not planning on renewing the lease. We called multiple times for fixes and they never came. Worst landlords ever. I wish google could add a zero star button because they truly deserve it.

These people are absolutely the worse to rent from Peter and his “team” my toilet has been leaking for months they came three times to fix it and finally replaced the toilet only because section 8 was going to fail them for the girls apartments ceiling downstairs and not to talk the 4am firefighters coming to my house because the leak went to the first foot (I lived on the third floor) I had a hole in my shower with black mold coming out of it because the shower wall was so molded and soft the maintenance lead and her crew tried to blame that on me saying it’s my fault water touched the wall and made it moldy hellooooo it’s a shower there’s water everywhere!!! Omg and not to talk the mice!! the mice gave birth and there babies were in my house it was disgusting they came out of nowhere carriage place stop doing there monthly sprays so it went out of control! I moved and paid them there last months rent and gave them a written notice they took my deposit and sent me a $1800 bill on top of it for clean up and two more months rent and late fees ect ect mind you I’ve been there for two years and never ever ever ever have I been late if not early on my rent smh and they made up this bill and sent me to collections DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BURDEN YOURSELF WITH THESE PEOPLE AND THERE “WE HAVE SPECIALS” SIGNS THEY WILL TRAP YOU they have specials for a reason no one wants to rent from them! When I left the 12 unit apartment building I lived in on 84 evergreen ave there were 2 tenants left it’s been almost a year and it’s still like that!!

I have only lived here for a few weeks and I already hate this place. The maintenance staff is ridiculous especially the lady that runs it. She is rude and disrespectful for not reason. It took me calling my therapist to have the kitchen sink unclogged after weeks of calling them. Not to mention today my mail box and a few others were broken into. The mail was scattered everywhere and when I called to tell them the lady who runs the repairs again gave me an attitude. I would NOT recommend living here. I absolutely hate it.

These people are extremely PETTY and GHETTO. They don't care about their tenants. They wouldn't pick up my phone calls for an hour to pay my rent but when I called from a different number they Immediately picked up, thinking it was funny. Its to the point where I don't even trust putting this money in the drop box because they aren't to be trusted without a receipt given. They are clearly messing with me on purpose but you know what, that's okay because there's nothing I can do but this.They're clearly bored, disrespectful, miserable women,it's so sad I almost feel bad for them

The management company is HORRIBLE. DO NOT RENT from this company. The property at 65 Sumner Street, Hartford, CT is the WORST. The property manager by the name of Pete is a real definition of a "SLUM LORD". They do not care about the safety nor condition of the property. It's all about money with these people. I'm trying my hardest to relocate my grandmother off their property. At this present time and long before now, my grandmother has no heat. We placed an working thermostat in her unit to get a proper reading and her unit reads at 40 degrees which does not even qualify for the law requirements of at least 65 degrees. I've been calling the management repeatedly and still not one call back. My next step is to report them to the health department. This is just ridiculous how his Tenants are treated, but I reassure you I will get down to the bottom of it.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. They management is the most unprofessional and rudest personnel ever. Both women in charge of the maintenance department and rental are condescending and rude. They never answer the phone or return calls. The entire time i rented for them it was an issue getting them to come out and fix anything. The heaters were always havinh problems in the winter and the building door eould continuously get stucka and they would never fix it. The property manager is by far the worst of them all. Do NOT rent from them, because they will look for any possible way not to return your deposit. Their properties are always dirty and they never clean during winter. Absolutely horrible service and renting experience.
