The Fat Robin is THE place for wild bird supplies. Might be one of the last stores to still be a Brome Dealer. Great selection and inventory, very well organized and the staff is great! Can you find something cheaper elsewhere? Probably. But. you wont get the level of service you get at Fat Robin. The fact that this store has been in business for 28 years speaks volumes.

Love this store! It's so cute and such a happy place. And the people there are so knowledgeable and nice. Their seed mix is expensive but worth the price. I tried a cheaper alternative and 2/3 of my birds stopped showwing up. I went back to their mix and word got out fast!

I have been coming to the Fat Robin since it opened...initially I was sporadic, but have for quite some time now been a regular. I love the space, the energy and Ryan, Carol and Jim....all so warm and friendly and knowledgeable. If I ever feel down this is the place to go. Just to browse and make up a wish list. Inhale the atmosphere.

What a tremendous gem of a store. The shopping selection is unexpected and affords many choices ideal for gifts in all price ranges. Besides the great selection of bird watching and feeding equipment, there are wonderful items for bird and nature lovers, and I was pleased to note that most of what I saw for sale was made in America. Moreover, the staff was welcoming and helpful without being the little bit intrusive, and the complementary gift wrapping, in a cardinal theme, topped off a perfect shopping experience. I'll be making this a regular stop when I need to shop for gifts or for my little friends who visit our feeders.

A family owned bird and nature shop that is a treasure in Hamden, CT. Bird seed, feeders, birdbaths, bird houses, binoculars and spotting scopes, guide books for birding, gifts, wind chimes, mugs, puzzles and photographs from father and son team of Jim and Ryan Zipp. During spring migration they run local birding trips for a small fee. Been a customer for about 25 years. Highly recommended.

Bird heaven! This was my first visit to Fat Robin, as a covid-era convert to birdwatching. This is such a wonderful business, with feeders, bird baths, a range of seed mixes, field guides, etc., and really expert & friendly staff. Truly a lovely business.

What a delightful shop! I went in to get a baffle and wound up getting a few other things because of the fantastic selection. They have EVERYTHING - bird houses, huge selection of bird feed, squirrel deterrents, feeders, bird baths/bubblers, and even some squirrel picnic tables! The prices were great too -- same or cheaper than Amazon and the big home improvement stores. And everyone was so kind and helpful!

Awesome small business. All your bird needs in one place. Great customer service, always friendly and willing to answer my questions. They've set me up with bird houses, feeders and seed according to my location and preferences. I get so much variety of species now thanks to them

Overpriced and unfortunately the woman working there was extremely rude, snobby and rushing me to buy something. Will find somewhere else to shop this is the second time I've stopped in and was treated this way.
