We did a ton of research when looking for the right daycare for our 1 year old son. Sunshine Preschool came highly recommended. Once we took a tour we were sold. Our son has been apart of Sunshine daycare for a year now and it has been an amazing transition. The preschool uses an app to communicate the events of your child day via photos and videos. You can also utilize the app to have real time communication to the teachers and administrators. Monthly calendar are sent home outlining holidays, events and learning objectives. The staff seems to thoroughly enjoy what they do, and it reflects on how they care for the kids.

Sunshine preschool will always be my favorite! Any new families in the Hamden/New Haven area should definitely check this school out. They have prepared my children so well for their elementary school journey!

We love this school. Our daughter is a toddler who is energetic and creative. She loves to be active and enjoys her time there. The staff there communicate with an app and make parents feel reassured and informed.

Great place in Hamden for your littles. I personally know the owner/director and it really shows that she loves what she does. Rachael always puts the kids first & thats what I love most about Sunshine. If you have reservations about Sunshine, don't! I highly recommend.

We are coming to the end of our second year at Sunshine Preschool and have been so satisfied with our experience. Our daughter is thriving and happily heads to school each morning. The communication between families and staff is approachable, and frequent. Skills and curriculum are shared with families often, as are photos and updates. Staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. Rachael, who runs the school, has been kind, understanding and helpful at every junction. We would recommend Sunshine with confidence to anyone looking for an early childhood education experience for their little ones!

We could not be more thankful for the care our child gets at Sunshine. My child has been with Ms.Rachel and her staff since she was 1.5. She’s now in their preschool program at 3.5 and thriving. We feel totally at ease when she’s there. They have great communication with the parents and send lots of photos and updates of her during the day. They have a great educational curriculum, and I am amazed how my child comes home talking about new things she’s learned. Sunshine is a great, affordable choice for child care. I would definitely recommend them.

Both of my kids went to sunshine preschool, I absolutely love it there. His teacher is amazing. She got him ready for kindergarten. There director is fantastic she's so caring and she loves what she is doing.Sunshine preschool is a fantastic places to send your kids.

My 2.5 year old son started here when he was about a year old. Immediately it was a better experience than where we sent him previously. Sunshine helped me ease him into daycare, because he had been struggling to adapt at the other daycare we tried. It feels like everyone at Sunshine knows him and cares about him. It also seems like he is learning a lot. He has a ton of fun and is always talking about his friends and his teachers. And, the icing on the cake is that the price is right!

Great daycare/preschool!my daughter been going here for over a year and can’t wait to go to school. The staff always greets us with a friendly face. They use an app to update the parents through out the day which I love seeing a picture. They have helped my daughter with potty training. Would highly recommend this school for your child. They are Affordable and have a flexible schedule!

We love Sunshine! My 4 year old has been going since just after he turned one and loved all of his teachers. They are flexible, have great activities and so great with the kiddos. We plan on sending on daughter in the next year as well!

Extremely happy with the quality of care and staff at Sunshine. Along with a great app that keeps you updated with details as fine as letting you know when your child’s diaper is changed. Communication from parent to teacher is top notch and open, emails are also answered timely. Being a professional, it’s these details that set the bar. I highly recommend this school for preparing your child for Elementary school. The staff is great and my son's growth has been phenomenal. Kids are taught the essentials for moving to the next level. They are taught Spanish, writing, reading and sight words as well as math. The staff is also awesome, they care about the well being of your child and it shows. Please send your children here you will be happy and so will they.

My son loves it here. The curriculum is great, there is a lot of variety in the curriculum and a lot of diversity in the school itself. They are very accommodating and provide you with constant updates daily of your child’s progress. I would recommend this to anyone looking to prepare their young one for elementary school.

Our son started a few weeks ago. We had a hard time finding a place that we felt comfortable with that was also flexible. My husband being in the military makes it difficult to have a 100% set schedule, and they have been accommodating. I was lucky enough to stay home for the first year and a half with our son, but that also made our relationship very co dependent, making going back to work very hard. Finding a place we trusted and felt comfortable with was not a easy task. But we felt comfortable since day one! They keep you updated on your child’s progress and make you feel better! We have already seen such a big difference in our son. He naps on schedule and is excelling so much since starting! Rachael and Bailey are amazing and life savors!!!!! We are so happy we chose Sunshine!!!!!

Our son started with them when he was 10 weeks old. He is our first child, and it was very hard for us to leave him for care by others. The Sunshine Preschool made the process so much easier. All the teachers treated the kids like their family. Leslie, the director, was always there and knew what was going on with each child. All the teachers, even the ones teaching older kids, knew how our son did that day. Everyone listens to your concern very carefully, and I never had frustrations with communication. Our son is growing to be a very happy child, and we think that getting such loving care at his daycare helped a lot. Now we moved to another state and go to a different daycare, we learned how lucky we were. We miss them so much. If you want your child to be in the loving environment when you need to work, this is the place to go.
