226 Paradise Ave, Hamden“The perennials, annuals, bushes, trees and indoor plants are all healthy and beautiful. I’ve been going to Paradise Nurseries for over 30 years and always happy with the quality, quantity and service. Support family owned businesses. Especially when they are as pleasant as this family.”
“Bought a nice bouquet of fresh sunflowers and red carnations that really popped in color for my partners birthday! The owner was very helpful and showed me his inventory selection and put together a very nice arrangement for me for the price I was looking for.”
“They have all the things you need. I recommend using the mobile application to help me locate the item. The staff is very helpful, and are happy to assist if you need help. The only negative is that the registers are usually backed up during or near peak times.”
“Needed tools in a pinch. Came in hand. The saw chain broke and (although a quick fix) i didn't know how to fix so job took a bit longer than expected. I suggest to ask service agent to give a quick fix tutorial on common issues. The service tech was very polite and accommodating.”
“I've been going to plant nurseries across the eastern US for the past 30 years, and this is one of the two best I have ever encountered. Their selection is like a dream list of must haves. They have cultivars, especially woodies, that I have only seen in European catalogues, specialist books & websites, or are simply very rare and hardly ever available. And yet, their prices are extremely reasonable: their beautifully grown rare cultivars are half the price of the 'normal' cultivar I encounter at other nurseries. Even 6' tall potted trees of rare cultivars are often under $200 (VERY reasonable). The nursery is also amazingly well organized: ordered by plant type, alphabetical by genus, with laminated signs on horizontal metal beams, in addition to simple labels in every pot, with very sturdy carts. I was blown away by how well organized this place is. Staff was very friendly, too. Again, simply AMAZING species and cultivars available.”
