Lina's Place is the best Eastern European store in Connecticut. I a customer of Lina's place for almost 20 years. Manager Natasha is very helpful with recommending new and delicious items I usually may have not considered. High quality assortment of foods like Cakes, Candy, and Deli meats.

If you ever wondered what is life like in the Soviet Union, you can look no further than Lina’s place. The manager Natasha is the embodiment of Soviet-style rudeness, and the store sells expired goods that they never bother to take off the shelves. I recommend going to their competitor Good Food in Orange instead.

Lina's Place is a European grocery store where you can findeverything from candy and honey to herring, red caviar and salmon, variety of dairy products, such as cheese, kefir, yogurts.This is the place If you are looking for home made style dishes: marinated fish, chicken cutlets, kebab, vegetable salads. Everything is fresh and tasty.It is a great chance to get a taste of your homeland food or a popular European dishes.The place is small but with great assortment of food.The staff speak English and always ready to assist and accommodate your needs.

Honestly, the best Eastern European grocery store near in CT I've been to so far. It has all my childhood favorites including Belarusian chocolate, borsch, Mayo, sour cream, etc. Its very clean and organized. I definitely recommend this place.

Lina's Place is a hidden gem in Hamden - and the state of CT - for finding delicious Slavic/Eastern European foods. The staff are exceptional, supportive, and just another reason why my family and I keep coming back!

Cashiers and store owners are nice ladies. Great food. They have a deli, candy and snacks section, beer and all sorts of cool Russian food. I like to get the dried fish and calamari.

Lina's is the best local Eastern European shop around! Wonderful selection of candy, meats, cheeses, pelmeni, and other delicious foods. We go to Hamden specifically for Lina's. 10/10 would recommend!

Lina's place is wonderful. The selection of products is amazing - they sell cold cuts, canned goods, chocolates, dairy products and so much more. Everything is always fresh and high quality. Customer service is exceptional. I brought a few non-Russian friends there and they were highly impressed. Prepared foods are delicious. We visited a lot of Russian stores, driving as far as Hartford, and then discovered Lina's place and never went anywhere else again. Definitely 5-star. I could not recommend it more highly.
