Foodworks is a fantastic store with an amazing selection and is considered one of the best natural food stores around. It reliably offers fresh organic produce, sometimes from local farms, and carries lots of supplements, vegetarian and vegan fare, clean meat, bulk goods, coffee, juices, and aisles of interesting items. Many praise its excellent and fresh selection, calling it the best natural, organic, and vegan market in the area outside of larger chains. The staff receives mixed but generally positive remarks, described as kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, though service is unevenly friendly with some extremely personable individuals and some dour workers. However, a significant point of criticism is its prices, which many find quite steep, outrageous, and not competitive. Some note that prices are nearly double for items like eggs and yogurt compared to other stores, which is a barrier for customers on a fixed budget. The selection of bulk items, like flours, is limited, and customers would like to see more interesting bulk options and unique produce such as heirloom varieties. The special order process is also a mystery. While the store is very nice, customers feel it could be better with more attention to their requests and a more consistently pleasant attitude, especially regarding the checkout line.
In terms of selection and quality, its the best natural, organic, and vegan food market in the area outside of Whole Foods in Milford. And its definitely preferable over the natural food sections at Big Y or Stop n Shop.

This is a fantastic store with an amazing selection of vegetarian/vegan & clean meat fare and kind, knowledgeable staff. However, I am on a fixed budget and their prices are quite steep. It's a terrible shame because this means I will not be able to shop there as often as I would like.
