Let me preface this review by saying this: I've been coming to this salon for at least a year. Last weekend, I brought my daughter and best friend with me. I always try to bring new people in because I thought this place was great. My best friend and I were getting fills and my daughter a kid polish. I noticed right away the woman at the desk closest to the door, being short, giving attitude but whatever, maybe she'd had a hard day. We chose our colors and sat down to get started. Everything seemed to be fine until it came time to do the design on my nails. 4 nails designed with ombre. The woman told me it would be $75 total for the 4 designed nails. I told her I thought it was steep and asked what it would be for all 10 of my nails to be designed and she told me $90. I didn't think it made sense to charge me more than half the price for less than half the nails designed so I thought about it for a moment and asked for them to proceed agreeing to the price. Throughout the experience I could tell the staff member doing my nails was upset because I questioned their pricing and it showed in how he was doing my nails (filing down on my nail surface to the point it burned and pushing my hands away instead of communicating he needed them in the light to cure). My best friend and I also noticed how the woman at the desk closest to the door perked up whenever a white person walked in the door. It didn't matter what service they needed or whether they had an appointment. She was friendly and provided customer service like she should have been doing overall. At that point, it all made sense. There's no reason to treat anyone who has been patronizing your business as less than. But now I can see this place doesn't like people of color and I'll maintain my position to not spend my black dollars here in the future. For further context, I have come here by myself, with other black women and with white women and just noticed the treatment is harsher with no white people in my party. I had been telling people about this place because I thought they were great but now I'll proceed to post this review absolutely EVERYWHERE so people know not to come here. I have also noticed they do not keep a price board in this place ALTHOUGH there's a price board at Coral Nails in the Kohl's Plaza that they also own. So be weary of coming here if you're a person of color. You'll be subjected to poor treatment.

I’ve used this nail salon for years but 9 months ago I got a pedicure with gel polish and ended up developing a fungus and ultimately losing half of my big toenail. It’s grown back since. But I didn’t blame the salon as I thought maybe I did something wrong. I went for a pedicure for the first time since the fungus happened, and the tech that did my pedicure cut the ‘ingrown toenail’ off each big toe but seemed to take a long time with my right toe but it didn’t hurt so I thought nothing of it. My big toe on my right foot where he cut the ingrown is now infected, swollen and hot to the touch and I’m on my way to Pequot for antibiotics. Won’t be going back.

I got my nails done. Started chipping in 2 days. Went again to get fixed and started to chip in 2 days again. Paid so much to not even have them for a full week. Very disappointed!

Specialties: I did not have an appointment but was only a short wait. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It was extremely busy that day and I still had a great experience. Will be back

Never in my life have I ever had to pay for the LENGTH of my NAILS! Geez! They charge for every little thing and when the lady cut my nails too short, I was forced to do a full set and it take another hour. On top of that, I had asked her for a flower on my big toe during a pedicure and this is what I got..... a blob.

The last few times I went there I had bad experience. They charge to much and did a poor job on my nails.

They do a good job but what I didn’t like is that they force you to leave a tip. I left $3 and that didn’t seem enough to them so they questioned me if that’s an 8 or 3 lol. I told them it’s a 3 and I did t have enough in my card and only had $5 cash so they gave me a look like ok give it to us. I felt like I was being jumped at a nail salon by their own employees. This is my last trip to their nail salon and I hope they enjoy their bat soup.

Did not have a pleasant experience last night. I brought my 13 year old daughter and her friend to get gel Mani's. We felt so rushed picking colors and explaining what they wanted. They had both similar designs just different colors. My daughter accidentally hit the top of her nail so it smudged a little, you could clearly see it. The lady did not fix it just. The girls wanted a half a heart o. Each of their pinkies so when they put it side by side it made a whole heart. Well, after many times explaining and showing 4 nail techs it still wasn't right. One heart was upside-down and on the opposite side. It was so frustrating I didn't bother having them fix it. We felt rushed and for the price I paid for gel manicure with a little design that they charge per color for wasn't worth it. I have heard such great things about here but tonight was not. Feeling disappointed.

I had a pedi and my feet still feel good 2 days later. I like my pink toes. Several things could be improved. Personnel need to learn more than a few words in English, foot massage should focus a bit more on the bottoms of the feet, and when people are parked in front of the toe polish drier they should be told how long to sit there and not just left there. But generally it was a good experience and I will go again.

I do have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. After reading reviews from here, I was excited to have some time to relax. My experience was anything but relaxing. I completely understand that maybe my tech was having a rough day, especially because my appointment was later in the day. However, the entire time I was getting my pedicure done, he was rushing, huffing, and puffing. This also continued into the nail portion of my appointment. Prior to scheduling my appointment I had called to ask what the price would be for a basic pedicure and a full set of dip powder extensions. I was told over the phone that it would be $32 for a basic pedicure and $45 for the dip powder, plus an additional $10 for the extensions. That means my total should have been somewhere around $87-$97 (I did get a "design" a French tip outline, so I expected to pay a little more than what I was quoted). I watched my tech write $85 on the slip, then scribble it out and walk the ticket to the front of the shop. When I walked to the front, I was told that my total was going to be $117 and was pressured into using cash. The woman asked me to go to the back of the store and use their ATM. My friend that I was there with paid almost the same amount as me not even 20 minutes prior and was not given the same request. Like I said, I expected to pay between $15-$20 extra dollars because it technically is a design but to pay an extra $30+ dollars for two lines across my nails seems a little absurd. Safe to say we will not be giving our business here ever again.
