I had an amazing experience with Island Pursuit. Starting with Trish who helped me at the time when she was in Sarasota, Fl. She gave me the information to call her in Mystic Ct. when she arrived on May 20th since the item I was looking for was going to be at that location.As promised, she remembered and the shirt for my husband was in the Ct store. I had a very positive response and easy order placing to receive this item. Her demeanor was very caring, efficient and expeditious. I also spoke with Patra in Sarasota, Fl to ask where am I able to post a good review. She was also extremely helpful and very pleasant.i have been in sales/customer service for over 31 yrs and appreciate the outstanding people you have working for this company.Sincerely,Lisa Cortella (Lowe)

I went in here with my husband on June 29th to browse after we had dinner. There were two women working in here and one of them immediately followed us around the store. We were looking at shirts to see if they had my husband’s size- we certainly are not thieves. The employee made us feel very uncomfortable so we left pretty quickly. I understand that their preppy merchandise is expensive, but treating potential customers like thieves is not a good customer service approach.

Thumbs up! Manager was friendly and helpful. I will go back just for the brands they carry. Tommy Bahama, Vineyard Vines, St. James, Helly Hanson etc. if you are in Mystic check it out

Employee of the store verbally assaulted me in the parking lot. She started hitting my car and calling me names far too vile to repeat. I reached out to the store multiple times to try to resolve the situation but they never answered. I wouldn't shop here unless you want to be verbally assaulted by the employees.

One of their employees cornered me in my car, started knocking on my window and calling me names so vile I would be banned from Facebook if I repeated them. The store refuses to respond after I've reached out multiple times in the last month. Allowing employees to assault customers and then refusing to respond is absurd. Shop literally anywhere else unless you want to be screamed at and called a "f***ing c**t" by the employee at the Mystic location.

Good afternoon from sunny Sanibel Island!! I couldn’t miss this opportunity to give a HUGE shout out to Tai & Melissa at your Island Pursuit store here on Sanibel!!! They were both, nothing short of, AMAZING!!! I am a nurse & also work retail, as a manager, at a store up in MA. I went into your store 2 days ago & was greeted by Tai.. She was so friendly, knowledgeable & so willing to help me out. When I was checking out & she told me that she had been there only a couple of weeks, I must say I was “shocked”! My husband & I went back this am ( & we will be back again before we leave next Sunday! ) to, again, be greeted by Tai & also Melissa. What a fabulous shopping experience! I’ve worked retail for many years &, I feel like, I’ve “seen it all”! Tia & Melissa are such an asset to your store and I know good help is hard to find these days. They were not just “good”…. As I said, they were “amazing”!!! You are one of the lucky places to have them working your store. Melissa told me that you have locations in Newport, RI ( 30 minutes from us at home ), Chatham & CT. I hope you have the same quality of staff in those locations as well! Again, I couldn’t not give your store the highest of “marks” in all aspects of running, selling, friendless, knowledgeable, etc! These girls ROCK!!

Such a cute store and lovely employees who were so kind and helpful. The employees went out of their way to help me find a gift and make my shopping experience enjoyable. They were personal and friendly while remaining professional and not being pushy. However, I was shocked at how warm it was in the store (probably at least 80 degrees). I'm from the Virginia Beach area where it is much hotter, more humid, and I'm relatively used to the heat, and yet the temperature in the store was noticeably hot and uncomfortable--especially for October. This unfortunately took away from the shopping experience and made it challenging to even want to try on cool weather clothes when I was already sweating from the heat. I wish I could give a separate review (and 5 star) for the employees because they were so helpful and professional, but the temperature for the store is quite unacceptable. According to the OSHA temperature regulation policy, the highest temperature for a store is 76 degrees and this most definitely exceeded this. I hope the next time I'm able to come to the store the owner will have fixed this issue, because it really does take away from the shopping experience.

The manager is sneaky. I wanted a different size for one of the shirts on sale. She offered to order it for me from another of their locations. She charged my card without making a comment, but when I looked at it closely, the shirt was full price. When I inquired, she became defensive and said that the other location didn't have it on sale. Frankly, I didn't care about the price as much as the subterfuge. I don't think it's morally acceptable. It occurred the afternoon of 7/28/21.

Love this store! There are always new items you don't see elsewhere mixed in with favorites like Toad & Co, Prana & Vineyard Vines. Knowledgeable honest salespeople and it's always neat and easy to shop.
