I love the way they take their time with my anxiety ridden dog.

The reason their phone goes straight to voicemail when people call is because the new owners are never there!!! The new owners bought the shop but is never there so if customers have any concerns they cant address them!!! The only reason if or when they are there is to just sit and not do nothing. If they were smart they would hire someone just to sit in front and answer phones and book appointments so customers can actually talk to someone and will actually be in the system. If you ever see the back of the building its unsanitary! Im sorry but how do u know if your dog wont get anything like kennel cough or URI -upper respiratory infection? There are 2 great groomers who work there part time and they deserve better!!!

The first haircuts were fine, but the last service was horrible. They cut the nails very bad and my doggy is in pain. They should have told me what happened but they didn’t say nothing also they called me two times to pickup him so now I understand why since our puppy was anxiousand hurt and was crying. Never again with this place.

They keep chopping my dogs beautiful whiskers off. This is the second time it has happened and we have told them not cut the whiskers, just give a bath and cut nails. It's so annoying!!! My dog looks horrible. We are not going back.

I have been going to this groomer for years. On Friday I asked for "The Works". My dog came out fluffy and not completely dry and after taking him home I didn't notice any change in the length of his hair. So today I took him back in to ask what they did - they said bath and nails. I paid $110 for this. One hundred and ten dollars. I know these people think Old Greenwich residents have money to burn but we ain't stupid.

I don't review often so when I do, it's either really great or extremely poor. In this case, I'd hate for others to fall prey and waste money and time as I did... Repeatedly. I've had two sub par experiences at SnipDog and decided one last shot, which I gave, except it was in my own foot... yet again. After waiting a rediculous 5 hours for a simple wash and tidy snip, I was presented with my partially cleaned Aussi, and the job of what seemed to be that of a 5 year old who got lose with a pair of dull scissors. Per the advise of the owner, they apologized for this groomers unprofessionalism and encouraged me to leave a review. Why for, I don't know as it ultimately hurts the image of the business. The groomers here are so overworked and the one who seems to be most tenured, is blatantly overbooked (she was the only groomer with 6 dogs - mine being one.) Come to find out, this is the case because this person calls private clients in as well - moonlighting in other words. And so in short, you should trust Snip Doggy Dog as much as you'd trust gambling at a casino - it'll cost you a bunch of money and maybe you win, maybe you lose.

I brought my 10 mo. Australian Shepherd here for a grooming appointment and will never bring her back. The only pro: I appreciated that they were accommodating to my puppy who is nervous at the groomer, and especially hates the blow dryer so instead of forcing her under the dryer, they let her air dry.Cons:1) Reservation system issues and poor customer service - I received a text confirming my appointment for a different date than what was in their system. So I showed up and the shop wasn't open. When I brought this to their attention over the phone, they didn't acknowledge any potential issues on their side. On the day of my eventual appointment, they were 10+ mins late and then told me I wasn't in their system. They eventually found my appointment.2) Bad execution and attention-to-detail - I wrote down the services that I wanted and also spoke to Martha about it when I dropped off my dog. But when I picked up my dog, it was apparent they disregarded the conversation and my dog was left with quite simply, a hack job. I asked for a sanitary trim, paw and hind leg trim, and ear trim, and Martha and I specifically discussed not touching the rest of her body. However, they hacked away at her mane, face, and tail - which was not listed as part of the requested services. Her mane is short and very choppy, her face is lop-sided, and her tail has a huge gaping hole in it and what was previously a white tip is now a blunt end. They also missed some spots on her sanitary trim which I had to fix myself.3) Poor communication - They were hard to reach. I ended up driving over there when I didn't hear from them for 3+ hours and couldn't reach them over the phone. I didn't learn about a different contact number until after I picked up my dog. I also reached out to Martha expressing my disappointment and she read my text, but never responded.

Do a decent job grooming but super rude folks. Brought my dog here 2 weeks ago and they threatened to kennel my dog overnight if we didn't return to pick him up immediately. I've never seen something like that before, very intense. I know this is Greenwich but the level of entitlement is 10/10. Consider another groomer that is appreciative of the business.

This was my first experience with a groomer since we moved to Connecticut from Texas. The last groomer I took my goldendoodle to in Texas really messed him up, so I was very nervous about this place. And ended up very disappointed. They charged me CRAZY HIGH at $140. When they did a job that honestly I shouldn’t have paid more than $80 for. At first, I walked in and it smelled clean and looked nice! Good first impression. Then the woman said my dog wasn’t even on the schedule when they called ME this morning to confirm. I told her what I wanted and she really seemed to know what she was doing! So I trusted her and was willing to pay the high price if she did a good job.I came to pick up my dog and he looked okay at first. Then I looked at him closer AFTER I left…I should’ve demanded to only be charged $80 for his hack job. Everywhere he was matted she didn’t even attempt to get the mattes out she just shaved down to the skin. His head isn’t even. And his neck is the WORST. Parts of his hair are still matted and super choppy. Looked like they tightened his collar to hide where they messed him up BAD. So patchy and shaved down to the skin. I texted the woman demanding a refund for this terrible job.But regardless, we’re not coming back again. So disappointing because we heard good reviews from friends of our that take their goldendoodle here.

So not only did they mess up the time of the appointment they SHAVED my golden doodle after we specifically asked them not to. The guy on the phone said to bring a photo of what we want and I did just that. OMG I'm furious, they shaved her....completely shaved all over...head too! Never, never take your dog here for a grooming. HORRIBLE!!!

Shame on me for continuing to try this place, after 3 previous scheduling mishaps. Each time I scheduled an appt, showed up the day of to a closed shop. When the phone transfers over to the manager she never apologizes - just blames whomever made the appt. Horrible horrible management. When we've actually had a grooming, the groomers are lovely and do a good job. But the management is the worst I've encountered. Most of the groomers understand that and make excuses for their terrible boss. Time to find new management, as this new owner is giving the business a terrible reputation.

I use to love bringing my dogs here. As the years have gone by I’ve noticed the lack of customer service. Every time I call to schedule an appointment I get their voicemail. Very disappointing. On the search to find a new groomer

I have never before written a review for any service in my life, but my experience yesterday was so bad at Snip Doggy Dog, I had to share. I brought my two dogs in for a 1pm grooming appointment and was told to return at 4:30 to pick them up. When I returned, one dog was getting groomed and the second hadn't even started yet. But that doesn't really bother me....what was shocking is that they CUT my dogs whiskers all very, very short and their eyebrows. The eyebrows look like they have been plucked. Both of these procedures should NEVER be done to dogs. Whiskers serve a very important role in the dogs' physiology, and never cutting them is basic dog knowledge 101. If plucking was involved, that is known to be a very painful experience for a dog. I will NEVER bring my dogs there, ever again. I try to support local businesses, but I cannot support this one. To be able to post this review, I had to designate one star; I would have preferred zero stars.
