I am an Interior Designer on Greenwich Avenue and wander into this store very often to pick up client gifts and tabletop items. None of my interactions are amazing, but this afternoons was particularly horrible. A small group of coworkers and I went to make a registry purchase. After being in the store for about 5 minutes, the owner approached us and said that she knew we were "sample shopping", laughed under her breath and walked away. Unclear of the intent, we wanted to continue the dialogue and understand the statement. She proceeded to go to the back of the store and refused to come out. None of the other associated would put any effort to find her as they "don't control her schedule".

I was recently in Hoaglands of Greenwich and aside from the wonderful service and beautiful items I felt completely safe shopping there, Everyone was masked and respectfully distanced, it’s always a pleasure shopping there it is a unique store and Greenwich is a lucky to have it

I have shopped at Hoagland's for many years and it continues to be my "go to" shop for gifts and unique items. Their offer not only great suggestions, but exemplary service. They truly want to help you find just the right thing. I have always found them to be pleasant during these trying times.Their product offerings are always well curated. They provide a wonderful experience in a beautiful environment.

Been living in Greenwich CT for 37 years and we used to love going to Hoaglands, especially at Christmas time and bring in our young children since they used to have lovely items, even adorable children's clothing down below. But I have noticed the quality diminishing over the past 5 years and now we hardly buy anything there. The place seems to have lost it's mojo, and that was confirmed for me today when they kicked me out for not wanting to wear a mask with my sinus condition (there is NO mask mandate in Greenwich CT, and even if there is they allow for medical exemptions). They tout a strong liberal political agenda and say they are just trying to "protect everyone," despite the fact masks have been deemed useless with the obvious proliferation of disease in mask-crazy paranoid zones and the absence of disease in mask-free zones. Regardless, they asked me to leave stating they did not want my business, and with that rude comment I will never return to this store. Go to Sophia's which is adjacent to them; she has more unique items and you will be greeted warmly with a smile regardless of your beliefs. Hoagland's items are not unique and just simply overpriced at this point. So sad to see where this once great Greenwich Icon has lowered itself to.

Very nice things here, expensive but very nice. They do a very nice job on the gift wrapping too
