Terrible store. Owners yelled at me on the phone and would not help me retrieve my guitar after being repaired as I live 1.5 hours away. I dropped the guitar here as I was flying out of a nearby airport. I suggested they ship the guitar to my home once complete - they refused to do this because, "we do not have any extra boxes to put the guitar in." Then I asked if they would bring it to a very close UPS store and the answer was a flat "no." Then I the owner yelled at me and hung up the phone. He yelled at me saying, "Why did you bring your guitar here anyway?" As of present, I am not in possession of the guitar and I do not know how I am going to retrieve it.

We were kindly helped in the store, but we were buying a guitar for our son and we don't live in the US. We were having problems with internet so we couldn't research correctly at the moment, but they assured that the amp could be used in 220 current. We arrived home and we connected the amp and it didn't work. So the amp was burned. Apart from that the price was a bit higher than the same thing in other stores, it's not nice to pay 50 dollars more, but that is just business and anyone can charge what they want. It was our fault that we didn't do a good research before buying. But the very kind person that assured us that it would work because he used to be an electrician, and it only needed a basic adapter, was totally wrong and now we are home and we lost an amp, so we paid extra for the set and it didn't work. You were very kind indeed, but please if you are not sure about something, don't sell it. Because we lost money and we can't go back because we don't live there.

Great place for personalized service, because their prices are not any higher than big branch music instument stores. Just wish he carried more guitar selections. But has plenty of guitar needs for anybody local to Greenwhich, that otherwise have to travel for an hr or more to get quality strings, picks, accessories, or even in a bind for a part. Save gas and go here. No pressure great staff! Call first if you have a question on a need.

We love Greenwich Music! We have been renting instruments from them for the last 16 years. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are also very fair. A true gem and staple in our town

We have had nothing but an amazing experience with Greenwich Music. We have used their services for: purchasing music and various instruments, repair and maintenance of instruments, restringing and providing years of wonderful flute lessons with Andrew. His teaching took my daughter's flute playing to several years above her grade level. Joe, the owner, treats everyone as family and even hosts music recitals for the kids in the store. If he doesn't have something in the store, he quickly locates it and takes care of your request. As a regular customerfor about a decade, I highly recommend them.

Been having intonation issues with my guitar for a while and GM did a fantastic job getting it recording ready again. Eric and Bill were so professional. Bill took the time to do the adjustment in front of me so I know what to do in the future. That shows a real passion for the craft and for service, not just trying to get you to come back in to make a buck.Truth be told I got my first guitar here in 2006 and and they treated me with nothing but respect and professionalism when I was a beginner and now that I play professionally. I'll be back with more guitars.

Amazing shop to work with. Ordered an Epiphone from Greenwich, not the most expensive instrument. FedEx had issues with delivery. Despite this not being a high ticket item, Joe worked with me for over a week to make sure I was taken care of and the guitar was delivered. Great experience, great communication, and a great shop.

Purchased a Les Paul from them online, but it turned out it had already sold and the website hadn't updated. Joe, the owner, refunded me immediately and personally messaged me, and also offered to let me know when the next one arrived. Fast forward a couple weeks, and now I have my Les Paul with some extra goodies from the shop. 5/5 customer service! I will gladly continue to take my business here, even though I live all the way in Texas.

Bought a PRS SE guitar from them online. It was priced lower than other stores with the exact same guitar. It got to me quickly and it was boxed well. Very friendly customer service. I would certainly purchase from them again.

Very nice store, one of the best independent music stores still around. My online guitar lessons have been going great, I’m so glad they are still offering lessons even though doing them in person again might take a while.

The Music Angel in the Pandemic. The pandemic just started. We left New York City to find space in Connecticut. Everything was closed and we were in a new town My son’s cello string pops. What to do now when you need a cello string in a pinch. I called a number of places either no answer, we can’t do it or we can do it for a big price. Businesses taking the opportunity to gouge at the onset did not sit right with me. I left a voicemail at one store my last try. Next thing I know I receive a text from Joe at Greenwich Music asking for my address. He will have his distributor drop ship it to me. Done. No questions. Seamless. We can’t wait to give Greenwich Music more business. They deserve it. Thank you Joe. You are a class act.

Store hours are inaccurateIt says on google that they close at 5pm on Saturday. The greeting of their voicemail says they close at 5pm (after pandemic reopening). Their paper sign on the door says they close at 5. However I called at 3:30 and they wouldn’t pick up, I drove 20 minutes to check thinking maybe they were busy and everything was closed. According to other reviews it could be the fault of the employees and not the owner but regardless if they aren’t willing to be open until the hours they advertise then they should edit their google listing, voicemail greeting and the paper taped to their door.
