Stonehill K9 one is a great place to get your dog trained. Their program is amazing and the people at Stonehill really do take good care of your dog. There's no 1 training fits all dog concept. They understand your dog, build a relationship, trust and understand what they need to be successful and build the training plan accordingly. It's a very step-by-step approach to understanding what works, when, where and making adjustments to the training. There's no run book, everything is custom-focused and specific to your dog and their needs. We saw a huge improvement with our dog. Our dog had very low self-confidence. Training the dog is as much as important as training ourselves. This training has helped our dog as well as us. We wish we had gone there earlier. Our dog's trainer was Landry and he was great! We went to get trained every weekend after the 3rd week. We were never rushed, we talked through all the things they worked that week, progress they saw, things they want to address next and more. We highly recommend this place. It's a must for your dog.

Our experience at Stonehill Kennel exceeded our expectations beyond what I thought was possible. Bringing their team, (specifically Landry) into our dog's life has been the best possible thing we could have done. The results were transformational. Before Stonehill Kennel, my wife and I struggled for nearly a year with our Pitt-Husky rescue, Moxie. After multiple trainers, help books, and mixed guidance from friends/family, we were feeling quite lost, frustrated, and not sure we would be able to manage and handle our dog in the long term; she was a sweetheart, but she would not listen, had unpredictable outbursts of energy that we could not tame, would chase our cat and would jump on visiting guests and passersby on the sidewalk. I could never fully trust her, and I doubted that I would ever be able to have her off-leash while outdoors.I write this review nearly a year after we sent Moxie through the 6 week board-and-train program. We now have a dog in our home that is well-behaved, listens, coexists peacefully with our cat, and has given us a companionship that I never thought remotely possible. We trust her completely with kids and strangers, and now enjoy the off-leash hikes in the woods that I had ruled out as impossible. What I find most special about Stonehill's program is the way they continue to work with us on our changing needs. Since Moxie left the program, we have had many weekend follow-up visits with Landry to work on and tune our ongoing training with Moxie for our changing family. He is available to give us advice and guidance through text or phone calls as questions arise. This is all free of charge and included with the initial training program.Something I also appreciated about the program is the way they worked with us individually throughout her six week stay with weekly updates and conversations to walk us through Moxie's progress and learn what it was we were hoping to attain with her. It required a commitment on our part to show up on weekends to work with Moxie and Landry, but it was a critical component for us to build a mutual trust between us and to continue to work with Moxie in a consistent way with Stonehill's methods. This to me was the big factor that distinguished Stonehill from the other trainers, and what ultimately made it so successful. Friends and family who knew our dog prior to her training with Landry were astonished at her transformation. It truly was remarkable and I cannot recommend their program enough. It was worth every penny and more.

Our family highly recommends Stonehill Kennel. We are a family of 5 who decided to add a new puppy to the mix. We are first time dog owners and clearly took on more than we could handle. Stonehill provided us the training and structure we needed to make our dog fully part of the family in a more seamless manner. The team there did an amazing job during the 6 weeks our dog was there. Our training sessions were invaluable. The guidance we got when we got home was also crucial for us. The team gave us more coaching on the day to day at home and gave us the confidence to have continued success. Cassidy was our trainer and was a perfect fit for us and our dog. She hosted a number of at home training sessions for us as well. She has an amazing bond with the dog and really understands her and quite frankly us. She tailors her advice to the situation and has been consistently been right in what she suggests. We have also worked with Stonehill on boarding and that has been a great fit as well. Cassidy continues the training with our dog while she is there for boarding. The dog loves going back every time.

We had a wonderful training experience for our Goldendoodle who was 4 months at the time. Cassidy was his main trainer and she was incredible with him. He still loves her and got very excited to see her again at boarding recently!! Our doodle came home understanding expectations, and went from being a bit wild and out of control, to being able to follow commands from "place" to "climb" to "down" and is very obedient and eager to please. CJ was also incredible and they were very understanding when a situation required me to keep our pup there an extra week. I can't say enough good things and highly recommend them. A friend in our town recommended them to me, as CJ and Cassidy had trained two of their dogs, so that trust mattered the most to us before we began.

I cannot recommend Landry Rogers from K9One Stonehill Kennel enough! I brought my 160 pound Presa Canario to him for training because he was exhibiting aggression and lacked any discipline. Landry worked wonders with Kobe and now he is a completely different dog. He follows commands and exhibits no aggression at all. Landry also took the time to give me extra strategies to use with Kobe at home, which has been incredibly helpful. I also appreciated the open communication while Kobe was at the kennel, with regular text messages and videos to keep me updated on his progress. Thank you, Landry, for your amazing work!

I honestly can't rave about this place enough. I have a Shiba Inu, Kylo, who is roughly a year old. As anyone who knows anything about Shiba's, you know they can be one stubborn dog. I took Kylo here because he was starting to show food and toy aggression that I wanted to make sure didn't get out of hand. The staff here is very friendly and also very knowledgeable about many dog breeds. Kylo was enrolled in the 6 week program, and during that program I received multiple calls and texts updating me of how he was doing and when I can come up for the weekly one-on-one training with him (after a certain amount of weeks he was in training). I can honestly say the difference in Kylo is unbelievable! The training that both Kylo and I received has helped make him acclimate back into our home so much easier. I never thought that he would be able to listen as well as he does now. I would recommend Stonehill to anyone!

Not a good experience. I also notice that anyone that writes a bad review about him he says “this is not a client” or “they’re dishonest”

The absolute worst dog training facility.Where do I start: the filthy facility itself, the handlers, the training, etc?Let’s talk price…the price was over $6000.00. For a good trainer you expect to pay this price, I suppose. When you drop your dog off, they incorporate taxes. Now looking at the tax laws in CT I am almost certain that the “tax” is extra money for the kennel itself and to go into the owners’ pockets. I will call the secretary of states’ office ti confirm this. The facility was filthy. Reminded me a state ran dog pound. It’s amazing they’re allowed to operate at that level. Furthermore, you’d think that with all of the money they receive they would invest in a state of the art, or at minimum, clean facility.Let’s talk training, my dog spent weeks at this facility. He came back home the exact same way he went there. When I picked up my dog they stated, “you have to continue training him at home”, WHAT?! You mean to tell me that I spent close to $7000 and I still have to train my dog the basics?! He won’t just sit, stay, heal, free? I have to follow your training regimen? Well why the hell did I pay you close to $7000 if I’m going to train him myself?!?! This review is written months after the boarding was over. I say boarding because it wasn’t training.I’m merely giving my experience. Take heed if you would like to. Or experience this yourself. They’ll tell you about the training you’ll have to do once you pick up your dog. And about the “taxes” when you drop them off. Be very careful people.

I brought my 4 year old Czech German Shepherd to Stonehill Kennels an aggressive anxiety driven dog with an attitude towards dogs , landscaper’s and especially their equipment. Couldn’t take him on walks or to trails or parks unless they were deserted. After 4 weeks working with his trainer Landry he was markedly better. At that point I came up once a week for a 2 hour session with the trainer and my dog. It was more of a training session for me to acclimate myself to my dogs training. This continued for 4 weeks at which point he was released and I took him home. This is when the real work began on my part as Jax my dog he had been trained and I had to come into synchronization with him . With the direction and help of Landry his trainer Jax and I started to be coming closer as a sycronized team . It takes as much conditioning as his handler as it did for my dog but all the time and effort made it worth it with the help and guidance of his trainer and Stonehill. I now have a dog that is a pleasure to be with and take places as we operate as a team and the discipline and obedience of my dog makes him a pleasure to be with and do things with. I can’t thank Stonehill and their trainers enormously enough for giving me the freedom and pleasure of owning my dog. I will always remember them with a smile in my heart for what they did for me and my best friend Jax. It was worth the time effort and money it took to transform my cherished family member Jax

We had a great experience with Cassady at Stonehill. She took our dog Javi when there was an emergency with another trainer and showed patience and skill in training him over 2.5 months (separated by a few months at a time). She clearly loves dogs and our dog Javi loved her. We’d hire her and Stonehill again in a heartbeat.

I never been there personally but I just had encounter where Mr. Landry tried to steal my puppy went as far as whistling for my dog which was on his own property, came into my yard with a leash in hand. If I wasn't outside my puppy would have been taken. There's no excuse for his actions and very unprofessional hense that's why there's animal control for any animal issues. But there was no problem nor was anything wrong with my pup.smh

I was recommended by a friend to use Stonehille Kennel for my 95 pound Akita, who was extremely territorial, who was extremely stubborn and overly protective. With the training that they provided and the lessons that I continue to do with my trainer Landry my dog, is completely different. 1000% better behave. I am able to have controlled walks, I can have friends over my place and not worry about my dog behaving aggressive. My overall lifestyle with my dog has improved.I would recommend anyone who is looking for dog trainers that cares and can provide results. To use their services.
