“Great place. Drive by tons of package stores on way back to town. No one beats Greg and team on their service / friendliness / price and selections. Hands down the reason to buy local.”

“I don't think that I've ever reviewed a "package" store before but this place is so much more! I had heard about it for awhile so I popped in when I was in Morris and was glad that I did!The Wise Old Dog is the Rolls Royce of all packies! Everything was impressive from the decor and layout of the building to the amazing variety of liquors. You want a Coors Light? They got you covered. What about a nice cab? Done. You also want a $300 bottle of Scotch brewed from the tears of the Loch Ness Monster herself? No problem. They had a complimentary wine tasting going on when I was there as well! What a great business to have in Morris!”

“Good Spirits Package demonstrates how people make a business. This isn't a mega wine store, or a liquor outlet. It's a small local retail corner where friendly service is the main selling point. I will go out of my way to visit my favorite wine sellers and say hello at Good Spirits. In over a year of picking up a bottle of wine, or a drink for special occasions, I've grown to appreciate the warm greetings and spot-on suggestions from the owners and staff.”

“Bantam Country Liquors is a wonderful little shop about 20 minutes north of our home in New Milford. My wife and I stopped by on a whim because I have taken a recent interest in whiskey and bourbon. I also tend to avoid huge box stores typically staffed by people with little knowledge of the products and incentivized to push certain brands over others. This is not a large store by any stretch. The aisles can be a little tight but this coziness is countered by an excellent, curated selection, knowledgeable and approachable staff, and very reasonable pricing.Like I said, I’m late to the brown liquor party. I’m 53 and never had a taste for bourbon or whiskey but I figure there had to be something to it. So, imagine my relief when I entered this store and met one of the owners, Paul.Sporting a shorn head with an impressive grey beard, Paul looked more like a wizard than a booze salesman. But get him going about brown liquor and the wizard comes out. He enthused about all different types of bourbons, focusing on offerings that would neither offend, nor kill, a newbie like me. He even offered up a sample for me to try, just to get an idea of what my palate was all about. He went through the shelves enthusiastically, pulling out bottles, commenting on their depths of flavor, their mash bills, barrel types, who’s local and which ones are mass-produced. It was a lot of information but it was good information. This sort of crash course was exactly what I needed. Rather than committing to a single 750 ml bottle that I may not like and would probably take over a year for me to drink, I went with a set of samples from Litchfield Distillery — a small operation located just a few miles up 202.We couldn’t be happier that we found Bantam Country Liquors. They are now my go-to store for not only liquor but they have very high quality wine and beer as well. And from a relative teetotaler like me, that’s a rave. Anyone who has a keen interest in wine, beer, or, in particular, liquor should stop by and say hi. Definitely worth the trip.”

“I drive from my town to the next town over to buy at Ponte's. You can tell that the owner was "raised right"... he is a true gentleman, as are all of his employees, including his son, Will, Mike N., Mr. Murtaugh, and more. They have the best customer service as well as a fabulous selection of wines, beer, and liquor. Stop in to Ponte's. You won't be disappointed!”

“I have always enjoyed my visits to the LH wine market, especially when Michael is in the shop. They carry an extensive selection of wines from various regions. The staff's knowledge was impressive and they have a wide variety of options, we especially like the local labels they carry. I only give it 4 stars because I find the prices a bit higher than at other local shops.”

“The store is long and narrow, but they have a good selection of liquors and wine when you're looking for a favorite or something new to try. The prices are reasonable for the area, and the employees are willing to provide information. Very friendly location with parking in the front, the only downside is getting out at a three way intersection!”

“I stopped in at the Falls Village Package Store during the July FV Car Show. It was hot as heck when I noticed a few vendors in town selling adult refreshments. Long lines accompanied by hot and humid weather resulted in me walking into the Package Store. The owner was so nice and sold us a can of beer for $1 and a small wine for $5. I couldn't have purchased one refreshment at the other vendors for $6 let alone two. She has a sweet small dog in a doggy bed on the front counter at all times. The dog greets the customers that come in with a happy wag of her tail. I know where I'm going to buy my refreshments when I'm in Falls Village.”

“My new favorite package store in town. Good selections and friendly service. What amazed me was the live music playing in the background. What I thought was the radio playing at first was actually a very talented pianist in the back of the store. Will be returning back soon.”

“I stopped in on a whim about a month ago and was pretty impressed with this store. Very nice selection of wine and spirits and also very fair prices considering the location. A younger couple we spoke to recently purchased this place I wanted to mention this as there is another review on here that's not great but should not reflect on the new ownership. I have now been here 3 times in the past month and it's a 5 star experience for me every time!”

“This Shoppe is located across the street from Cumberland Farms and has maybe two, three street parking spots available in front of it. I honestly expected a one room hole in the wall with maybe a few token bottles of wine. But no! Inside is well lit, spacious, and two rooms with beautiful brick arches separating them. (The cashier hypothesized it may have one day, long ago, been a pizzeria) The wine is mostly reasonably priced, twenty dollars or below with names you know and enjoy. There is beer available in the coolers, and liquors behind the "bar" in the main room the cashier will get for you. I even found a new kind of liquor to try! This is definitely a fun store to check out.”
