I have participated in some demo runs from here. They are fun and educational, but my best experience was shopping for inserts. My Dr. recommended Marathon Sports to me so that I could find inserts to address pain while running. I walked in with no clue how to evaluate or buy inserts. Luckily Karen came to my rescue. Sensing my inexperience she expertly walked me through the process and explained very clearly to me the pros and cons of each option. She did not make me feel silly for asking any of my million questions. Most importantly, her recommended inserts have drastically reduced my running pain.

I went in just to window shop. Karen helped me out with measuring my feet and gave such an excellent recommendation that I walked away with a new pair of shoes! Amazing service and such a nice place. I'll definitely come back soon!

I bought two pairs of running shoes today. Alexander was the representative that helped me. When I entered he noticed me but was occupied with another customer and said other reps were busy but they would help me once they were free. Two sets of customers entered after me and as soon as the reps got free they started working with them. Alex noted this and was quick to make sure I was being attended to. He was juggling multiple customers at the same time. I liked how he wasn't trying to sell a specific shoe but the type of shoe I was looking for. He was very well informed. Give that kid a raise.

Great little store with a decent selection. Employees are very knowledgeable when it comes to running shoes and can help you find a shoe that fits your running style. They even showed me a couple of gels that are working great on longer runs. I drove all the way from Simsbury to shop here and will definitely come back.

This the place to go if you need new running shoes. I've mostly been wearing Asics on Thanksgiving morning for the past 23 years but it was time for something new. My 12 year old Asics were getting tired so I went in here in August the day before running the RiMaConn and Ashley hooked me up with my first pair of Topos. What a difference these made. She scanned my foot and had me try a few different shoes before deciding and I'm confident we found the right shoe for me. I went from being a reluctant infrequent runner to when's the next 5k but I'll sign up for the 10 instead. Thanks again

My podiatrist recommended your store. I have custom orthotics and needed to find the right shoe for my feet. Everyone was super helpful! I also get my socks there. I really like Feetures socks. Same price as Amazon and with the personal service that makes it worth the trip from Vernon!

Today I witnessed first hand the death of brick and mortar. I got a pair of Topo shoes, a brand that I didn't know much about. I did the foot scan, ran down the sidewalk, walked in the store ect... The service was great (5 star). I took the shoe for a run and it was the most painful experience I've had short of hockey skates.Topo had a 30 day return policy so I thought, awesome, I'll just return the shoes. I called Topo and they told me that since I didn't order through them I would have to go back to Sound Runner (this is where brick and mortar dies). When I brought them back, Sound Runner could not return them because they "could not resell them." I got store credit...My question is, why would I ever shop at a brick and mortar store when Altra, Hoka, Nike, Topo and maybe others give a 30 day no questions asked return? If I buy through Sound Runner I do not get that same courtesy? I guess I'm a mail order guy after I spend my store credit...
