I brought my son in for his first haircut at 16 months old. The whole process from walking in to paying probably took 6-7 minutes. I couldn't believe how fast it went. His hair was cut before he even had time to register what was going on, which is probably a plus for a wiggly toddler. I can't talk to how the place is for older kids or someone wanting a more personalized or relaxed experience, but in terms of efficiency I certainly can't complain. Haircut is nothing special but neat so no complaints there either. I also got a little baggie with a lock of my son's hair to commemorate his first haircut.Be aware, this business is cash only.Service: Kids' cuts

One of the stylist (Sue) called my child to have ADHD for being wiggly. I know people who face such condition and that's no joke. You are no way suited for this business if you have no patience. I DID tip her because I'm nice but I'm never coming back to this place along with many others I have recommended in the past.

As I see some other reviews have mentioned, some of the stylists here make no effort to make nervous toddlers comfortable. Putting the TV on is not always enough. The woman who cut his hair today seemed annoyed at us for showing up at 4 (which was our appointment time made over the phone but someone incorrectly put us down at 3:45). I get that a lot of us are tired and grumpy on a Friday afternoon but I still expect you to do your job, and as a children's hair stylist part of your job is taking a few minutes to make sure my child is comfortable with you and the experience before you grab at his head and go in with the clippers. Unsurprisingly the cut didn't come out very well because he was so upset and kept moving. They also have now raised their prices. We've been using this place since he was a baby but will now be looking elsewhere.Service: Haircut

Brought my 6 year old here for the first time last week and it was horrendous. The stylist didn’t even say 2 words to my son and the haircut was poorly done in less than 5 minutes. It was completely uneven and when she trimmed around the ears and back of his neck she only did a centimeter and left the rest of his hair. I had to bring him somewhere else to have them fix it. I thought this place was going to be so wonderful for my son as it was geared toward children but I was so disappointed.Service: Haircut

Definitely will not be using again. My sons hair is butchered she barley asked what I had in mind . Mom shamed me for brushing his part "wrong" and seemed annoyed my 16 month old was upset and scared of a women who didn't even say hi to him or try to act nice. The haircut took less then 5 minutes without even waiting to see what I wanted done. I figured being just a children's place they would be better

Absolutely loved my daughters hairdresser, Hope. She was amazing with getting my daughter to sit still. Her hair came out great too and we'll be donating her long locks as well!

My girls haircuts came out fine, but all 3 times I have brought my son, his hair came out butchered and uneven. $24 for this and less than 4 minutes in the chair.

Scissor Kids does a fantastic job on kid’s hair and working with kids! My son has thick course hair with a cowlick and I’ve tried many places, but they also do the best job and work with his hair.Service: Haircut

Scissor Kids does their job well - the stylists have the patience and ability to cut children's hair while they are : crying, moving, wiggling, screaming, and sitting still. They are talented at cutting hair and working with children. Ask for Hope -- she lives up to her name.Service: Haircut

Absolutely excellent. They exceed my expectations every single time. The staff is amazing, so personable and excellent with my child. We've been going there since 18 months, and almost 3 years old now. They have awesome vehicles for the little kids to sit it, and fun chairs or regular style chairs for the bigger kids. Their prices are very fair, and they also give a little trinket and sticker with every haircut. They have a secure play area for little ones, making it easier for parents with more than one kid. I can't say enough amazing things about them. We would never go anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend.Service: Haircut

I had been considering bringing my son here for quite some time and am really glad I finally did. The stylist went out of her way to help us and to make us comfortable and actually leave with a new haircut. This comes after many failed attempts in the last couple of years. Thank you! The toys and videos and car chairs are also very helpful.Service: Kids' cuts

When I made my daughter's appointment I explain to them she was 5 and autistic and asked if there was an appointment time where they would not be very busy because my child could be loud. I get there and they were wonderful until we pay them. As we were leaving we realized my daughter's favorite toy dinosaur was missing which of course caused my daughter to meltdown. We tried to calm her down while looking for the dinosaur. They told us take one of their prized little dinosaur toys and leave. I tried to explain it didn't work like this and she was attached to this one toy they basically told us that we were distracting their other clients and needed to get out.

I recently attended a haircut appointment here with one of my friends with her son with autism. His hairdresser was Hope and she was phenomenal! She was incredibly patient and did a fabulous job, despite a wiggly kiddo who really did not want to be there! I highly recommend her!

It's supposed to be my first son's haircut so I thought about coming here, I do wish it was better professionally through our phone call. One of the lady's I was on the phone with asked for my son's last name and as I told her she started laughing which kinda through me off. I never play when it comes to making fun of my child I just didn't understand what was funny about it. For a first timer please make it more professional on the phone, it probably wasn't intentional but was definitely unprofessional and through me off a bit.

My husband brought my son in for a haircut yesterday. We have been 2 or 3 times before and haven't had an issues until this time. My son's haircut is awful. One side looks like a bowl cut and the other side looks like a normal buzzed side and scissor top that's blended. I understand it's not an easy job to cut a toddlers hair but we started bringing our son there because they specialize in children's haircuts. If my sons hair was just a little uneven or a little choppy that would be one thing and I wouldn't be writing this review but it's so bad I felt the need to say something and now I am going to have to buzz is hair because his haircut is so bad. Also I found it annoying that I booked an appointment and wasn't told at the time of booking that you needed to pay in cash. If you want to change your policy about payment then that's your right but it should be mentioned when people make an appointment especially when the changed happened only a month ago.Service: Haircut
