On a regular basis, I pick up their homemade muffins which are only $5.00 for a four pack. The absolute favorite is Cranberry Nut...large walnuts and tasty cranberries in muffins that are the freshest around.

The market store is great, all the employees are always ready to be helpful. My 92 year old client loves there sunflower bread and will put some aside for her with just a quick phone call. And always amazing apples.

I always love stopping in at Holmberg’s. They always have some unique things to buy in the shop and I love picking up apples whenever I’m here. This last time I took a bushel of apples back to Indiana with me and my parents were so in love with them they want me to bring more back the next time I travel back and forth. The Christmas crate tree was a delight to see this year too, it was adorable.

The shop, open daily and year-round, is a cutesy produce and gourmet store with the welcoming look and feel of a family farm stand. Located on Route 12 but still off the beaten path for nearly everyone and so also for me, I find it worth my special trip just for the plentitude of varieties of their "homegrown" apples sold here late summer through early spring. My all-time favorite is their Macoun apples, but I should not tell you this, else you buy them all ahead of me. While not organically-grown, their Macouns outshine even the ecologically-grown Macouns always sold in-season at Willimantic Food Coop and the organically-grown Macouns sometimes sold in-season at Fiddleheads. They also sell their own apple cider in season, and for those who imbibe their own hard cider sold year-round. But wait! They grow and sell also berries and peaches, and berries grown elsewhere locally just before or just after theirs are in season. Plus a selection of produce you'd expect to find in supermarkets, just not as many varieties or quantities, but always of high qualities. This place is the hidden gem of Gales Ferry.

My family goes here every year around Halloween. It is a tradition we all love. Apple cider and donuts and tractor rides and apple picking! Beautiful scenery and a great place to take pictures. Their pies at the holidays are literally the best!

Cute place with good produce, baked goods and apple cider! Prices are as expected from a small local market like this, so it's a treat if we visit. Only downside is the parking, which honestly causes me to pass on visiting anytime it's too busy as the parking lot is always a chore to get in and out of. Going during slower times remedies this well and allows for a great in and out experience, which is what I prefer to do anyway since the interior is quite small.

Unjustifiably over priced and rude cashier ladies. Tired of this venue and will now take my business somewhere else.

Been craving a pie from here so we had to make a special trip past to do some shopping. If course we couldn't just get the pie. Had to pick up some other items, surprisingly for me. Got a couple more pumpkins small size.

Holmberg orchards was amazing. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The apples and pumpkins were delicious and a variety to pick from. It's definitely a must visit.

High quality goods (food, mostly) with high prices. The prices are somewhat justified, given the high quality of the products. Their main focus is on apples (and related products like pies and cider), but they also have a variety of baked goods and fruit products (jams and jellies), honey and a few vegetables. Overall, well worth a stop if you can tolerate the prices. Oh yeah, they also have whole pickles (garlic half-sours and kosher dills) which are excellent! Only $0.99 each as of 10/18/23.
