“I had such a great experience for my first time shopping at AE! I first met with the store manager, Wendy and she directed me to a few great options of clothing I was looking for. I tried on so many pairs of jeans but her and another store associate, Adrian I think her name was..? were both super helpful, kind and patient with me! Wendy was able to match most of the clothes prices that were on sale on their website which was a plus and I was able to purchase everything I needed. Yesterday my daughter and I went to the mall for HOP TOPIC. So first, LOVE Hot Topics clearance: buy two get two free & 30% off, etc. etc. So of course we took advantage of the buy two get two free , as we approach the cash register, Emily was attentive and very kind as she started to service us . During this transaction. My daughter and I started discussing her “gaming/ streaming“ stuff that personally I have no idea what she does. It’s over my head as the old lady that I am. Anyways, my daughter mentioned a character and seemed disappointed that she couldn’t find. Emily to the rescue, chimed in and stated that they do indeed have this character in a T-shirt. My daughter perked up like she had just won the lottery , so thrilled that Emily showed her this item. Emily and Diego chatted my daughter regarding her gaming and streaming gig on TWITCH. All three were basically talking foreign to me, but my daughter, who is normally an introvert showed the social skills of an ‘MC’ for a show. Anyways, I inquired about honoring military ID and Emily and Diego spoke up singularly with an “absolutely“!
The minimal transaction that we experienced with Emily and Diego may seem moot to others as where they both were “just doing their job”.
In this case, that is not true, Emily proceeded to tell me that on every item, a military discount was entered. (which I love because I’m a total “frugal Franny”) and the interaction we all experienced was the upmost joyful experience..( Emily displayed knowledge of the inventory in the store, which ended up as an additional item that we purchased. The kindness and respect she showed my daughter and I was an action that one doesn’t normally see in young adults( i’m referring to employees that disrespect their elders with a short, sharp tongue or that general eye roll and /or minimal interaction with a customer) . I know I’m babbling on, but I just wanted to commend these two employees (Emily and Diego) for doing a wonderful job of making MALL shopping a pleasant experience. They both get 10/10 from us.

“1st. Please allow me to apologize for my late post ( still had to cause my girl Jill to be my new stylist) as life always tends to stretch you in all kinds of directions... Last Month (end of April ... April 27th at that) with 20 mins to spare... now let me say this, I have worked in retail, and I have also been a General Manager of a restaurant. I now am in development said all that to say I WORK WITH PEOPLE ALL THE TIME AND WHEN I WANT TO GO HOME, I WANT TO GO HOME, and this woman JILL (lord Jill was sent from heaven and made from THEE Creator His/Herself) I needed anything FANCY! I'm typically an Express Pantsuit, Forever 21 H&M mash-up kinda girl. I own a few pieces from White House Black Market ( always catch a sale) but with no other stores willing to allow me in and LOOK, JILL did . I was hosting a fundraiser where I raised 62K!! It was my 1st assignment under my new role and even though I missed my hair and nail appointment trying to make sure everything was PERFECT, Jill took her TIME and allowed me to try on multiple outfits, shoes belts, and all. I never felt rushed and was told to stop apologizing. It's very hard finding exceptional service. Jill's actions spoke volumes of the Brand of the company. Being that the pandemic pushed everyone into GRUMPY x10, not really loving the job or having genuine passion, Jill was exceptional ASF (I'm sorry for the profanity) I have never in my 31 years of living experience someone so kind and sweet and patient, especially in the midst of a pandemic. Goodbye, Loft, and Hello White House Black Market! Jill thank you, thank you, thank you. You have no idea how many compliments I got wearing that dress (Purple, Green, and Blue Pleated no sleeves)I was in the room with over 400 million dollars Net & you Jill made me fill like I was the only Important person in the room. “I'm not a big fan of the Loft, most of their items are not my style, but I'll occasionally walk in. I notice their store is usually set up to feature one specific color, and you'll notice it right at the entrance. They'll have all the new items of that new color, currently various shades of pink displayed on the front table, not to be missed. This is fine, but a variety would also be more eye catching. I've been on the hunt recently for a specific pair of pants, they are from a few seasons ago at the Loft. I've gone to a few stores and I've looked online, and I haven't had much luck. I stopped at the Loft store at Westfarms, I asked the man working there if he could help me find them. He was so helpful, he looked all over the store for me, he talked to the other associates, he did a store search online, he looked in the back room twice, sadly they didn't have the pants. I didn't even ask him to do all this, it was all in his effort and wonderful customer service. And it was a very busy day in the store, yet he was still dedicated in finding these pants for me. I so much appreciate excellent service like this.”
