Nice little store in Southington with other locations as well. Selections are not quite as vast as at some of their nearby competitors. If you're needing basics, this place will meet your needs.

I had the very good luck of being helped by an M&R salesman named Dave. Dave was personable, professional and most efficient as I explained to him that I needed to purchase a few bottles to take with me to a dinner and I was running very late. I told Dave that I needed a good bottle of sipping tequila. Dave brought me over their tequila section and pointed out three very good but different bottles explaining the nuances of each. Bingo. I got my bottle of tequila. Not knowing much about red wine, I told Dave that I needed two bottles of a good red wine and to make it easier on both of us, I told him to limit the selections to wines from California and I also mentioned that I wanted to vastly different bottles and was willing to spend about $50 for each. Dave quickly led me over the California cabs where he showed me his four favorite bottles and clearly explained the differences of climate, vintage date, growing and bottling practices. I selected what turned out to be a superb cab. And for the second bottle of red, Dave brought me over to the Zinfandel section and explained that while many people aren't familiar with "Zins," they offer a great flavor profile and good value too. He showed me three or four bottles and explained their unique qualities. I chose one which also proved to be excellent. Dave quickly rang me up, carefully wrapped my three bottles for the road and I darted out to my dinner party. The sipping tequila received raves during the cocktail hour. And while other guests brought other bottles of wine, my two bottles were called out as the "best wines of the dinner." Thanks Dave I couldn't have done it without you. I'll definitely be back to M&R soon and I hope that you'll be working when I do return so that you can help me find some more great wines and liquors to share with my friends.

Older, taller guy working. No greeting, did not say a word on a $250 purchase. Walked outside after ringing out a younger lady to stare at her some more. Honestly awful experience.
