Local bank centers have good people. Online support is a nightmare since they merged with Sterling Bank in June 2023. Their website and phone support are horrible. Long wait times on hold, and no one in customer service knows anything about their "new" platform. They ask a million questions for security purposes, and then transfer you, and then you will get asked the same million questions and then transferred, and round and round it goes with them repeating your question, but not answering it. Customer "Support" blames Customer "Service".... BRUTAL

I had an absolutely miserable experience with this bank. First, I was met with an incredibly long wait until I was finally seated to set up my account. Even though I had just recently set up an account at a different bank with the same information I brought to Webster, the lady sent me home twice because she couldn't set up my account with what she had. Finally, she finished setting up my account and spelled my email wrong. Fast forward to now, I accidentally received an overdraft fee from not switching my Venmo account and wasn't notified for over a week because they had my email wrong. After 4 phone calls to people that "couldn't help me" and 5 days of waiting, I got in touch with the manager about not paying the fee due to them setting up my account wrong. The manager was very rude and even said that "it is not the bank's responsibility to notify you if there is an issue with your account" (which personally I feel is an essential duty of a bank). He refused to help me and could not even remove the additional fees I received while waiting to speak with him, even though another employee working there said that I could. I strongly, strongly recommend setting your account up somewhere else, if not another bank entirely. These people do not respect you, or your hard earned money.

Awful experience here - most of the bankers have no idea what they're talking about and it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get stuff done with them.
