I was a client with Robert Vance for the past five years and trusted him as a licensed professional. I realized last tax year (2021) that each tax year when I submitted my December summaries from both my Traditional and Roth IRA, he was not filing the proper tax forms for my contributions. Finally, this past year (2021) after bringing this mistake to his attention, he realized it and filed the correct 2021 tax forms for both my Traditional and Roth IRA contributions. In addition, I received an email from him agreeing to review my contribution payment history to both my Traditional and Roth IRA (sent to him within days) accounts and file the previous years' Traditional and Roth IRA tax forms. Unfortunately, despite many attempts to correspond with him, he not only failed to fix his mistakes and file these past Traditional and Roth IRA tax forms, but he also terminated my business relationship with him via a letter sent to me. I do not think Robert Vance behaved in a professional manner--did not take accountability for his mistakes, and repair them in the best interest of this client.
