I loved sponsoring a child for many years.Due to unforseen circumstances I had to discontinue.My issue is when I cancelled my sponsorship they never notify the accounting department.After the third attempt of telling them and still seeing no results and still receiving bills I resorted to a review.

Changed my card number three times and they still continued deducting, finally, I opened bank dispute and it worked.After losing my trust in Save the Children, and large nonprofits overall, I have found out that we don't have to use third party to help us with "helping" others (as, sadly, you never know how the money will be used and if it will be used as you intended).The reality is that there are too many people hurting right in front of our noses, who need our help, all we have to do is look. Only when you help directly, can you vouch that indeed your contribution helped someone.

I came back to Save the Children earlier this and this time I'm not using it for my tithing but I'm just donating $10/mo. And yes I have read that it is a spam site, but I'm saying a prayer that the $10 will help feed a starving child. And I'm giving it a 5 rating because I'm just going to just go on faith that it is a legit site.

I have called numerous times to try and cancel my monthly donation and they WILL NOT answer my calls or emails. I'm getting very frustrated and am debating changing my credit card number solely because of them. DO NOT give these people your money, they will also sell your info to other similar organizations. I have gotten an unbelievable amount of mail from other schools/hospitals/organizations asking for donations ever since i started donating to save the children. VERY upsetting.

Only 7 dollars a month can do so much for a child who is starving.. That 7 dollars does more than just put food on the table but helps give the child medicine they need to survive also.

Their HR/recruiting practices are rude and disrespectful to applicants. People take time to thoughtfully complete applications, providing specific data they request, and they furnish a rejection in about 3 working hours! Learn some best practices from other employers.
