I started training with Scott Shapiro at pin point fitness close to a year ago, and to say that he’s revolutionized my understanding of fitness and what my body is capable of doing would be a complete understatement!My aim was to add longevity to my life and I’d always heard that weight training was going to be a critical component of one wanting to achieve a long, good quality, life. That was what I said to Scott my very first time at Pin Point Fitness, and he has ensured that every single session, I am consistently putting in the work to realize that goal.Scott has curated the best training machines at his gym, which he takes great care in maintaining. And his knowledge of fitness, in addition to his selection of training equipment, come together seamlessly to ensure that one gets a solid workout in, stretching included, and also that his client is able to push themselves and test their bodies in ways that do not result in injury, but rather under his watchful eye, strengthen the body so that even the most injury prone person, such as myself, has to deal with the issue less and less with every session im in there for.I am stronger, leaner, more confident, and have learned a great deal from Scott - who is always generous in sharing his knowledge - about fitness and nutrition!I highly recommend Pin Point Fitness and invite others to join in on a fitness experience that has genuinely proven to be a game changer for me.

There are two things I never thought I'd do in life: 1) write a google review and 2) see a personal trainer but because of Scott and Pinpoint Fitness I'm so glad I did. I've been seeing Scott for just under a year and I've made more progress and learned more about fitness, lifting and nutrition than anything I could have done on my own. He always finds the right balance of helping me push my limits but doing it in a way in which emphasizes proper form and discipline. I grew up playing sports and working out but felt I was not reaching my full potential and Scott has helped me get to that point. I have way more strength and energy than I did even when I was younger and felt like I was in better shape. He will craft a personalized plan for you based on your specific goals not just with lifting or cardio exercises but also extensive knowledge on nutrition which is a huge piece of the puzzle. Overall, I can't recommend Scott and Pinpoint Fitness enough regardless of where you are in your fitness journey or your experience level. If you are wondering whether personal training is for you, it is, and I'm very happy I made the decision to start here.

My experience at Pinpoint fitness has exceeded my expectations in every way. First introduced to its owner, Scott, with some gentle weight exercises that I doubted would make any difference, two years on I can report remarkable progress. Since I suffer from neuropathy which was making me increasingly unstable and prone to falls, my weekly work with Scott has increased my strength a hundredfold, all with not a single injury or even discomfort. Steadily but surely, I have felt my legs and upper body become much stronger, counteracting the neuropathy to the point that I can take long sturdy walks and navigate the demands of travel (which I love to do) with confidence.

Scott’s knowledge and experience shines in each of his training sessions. I couldn’t be more pleased with his services. He took my training goals seriously and applied his expertise to make sure that I reach my goals, all while improving the state of my past injuries/dysfunctions and preventing future ones. Overall, he’s a great guy to talk to and an even better guy to train with.

I have been a client of Scott's at Pinpoint for over a decade now. Scott's knowledge and bespoke personal training program has addressed all my old nagging sports injuries ( knees , shoulders, elbows, calves) that prevented me from participating in all the activities I like to do. That was our goal and we accomplished it. A wide array of training equipment and he buys nothing but the best equipment for his clients. If your serious about achieving results, you found your place. Highly recommended !!!

I didn’t know what to expect when I started training at PinPoint, but went in with an open mind and willingness to grow, and it’s been amazing to experience the benefits already.I started working out with Scott after recovering from a long-term illness that knocked the wind out of me. My goals were simple: 1) regain strength and 2) develop a routine again. Scott helped me ease back in to working out, develop a better eye on form to avoid injury, and accommodates my schedule so I can come in consistently. 5 weeks in, I feel stronger, more energized, and to my surprise, already more motivated with goals that continue to evolve.Scott is also a very kind, respectful, encouraging person who truly cares about his clients, which makes all the difference after recovering from illness. He’s super knowledgeable about all things nutrition, anatomy, even movies! He is fun to talk to and learn from. I’ve had an awesome experience so far and highly recommend PinPoint.

Scott is an amazing trainer. He truly takes the time to understand your goals and mindset. Very knowledgable about how to juggle your lifestyle with the best workout and nutritional regiment. I was a Division I athlete and lost focus of taking care of myself and working out consistently. My original intention was to just go to a trainer and do what I am told. But, this has turned into much more than that where I trust Scott and he does what is best for me and my fitness goals. In the last 5 months I have gotten into what is probably the best shape I have been in the last 15 years. My golf game has definitely improved asa result of it!

Scott is a highly experienced and meticulous personal trainer. I appreciate his attention to detail when it comes to strength training. Scott always focuses on making sure exercises are done with proper form for maximum results and most importantly, to avoid injury. Our family enjoys the casual and personal atmosphere of Pinpoint Fitness. I can say after working out with Scott for a full year that I feel stronger in my 40s than I have ever felt in my life. I have been working out with Scott for over 10 years! Scott is a true expert at what he does and I love how much he knows about and focuses on proper technique to maximize results and minimize the risk of injury. Scott’s expertise is a big reason why I knew that when my teenage son decided he wanted to work out, Scott was the best choice. Over the years, I worked with several trainers, and it was when I started working with Scott Shapiro that things really started to click. Most of my issues stemmed from past sports-related injuries and corrective surgeries in my 20’s and 30’s. Now in my mid-60’s, Scott focused on strengthening my core, proper form, flexibility, and the types of movements/exercise needed to target problem areas – not to mention, the importance of healthy nutrition. Scott’s patience, extreme personal fitness knowledge, and understanding of my personal needs/issues were critical to my success. He was able to continually encourage and motivate me (even when I did not feel like it – ultimately, regaining my appreciation for a planned, systematic, workout with proven results. Whether it is training a client or mentoring other trainers, I believe the single greatest characteristic that distinguishes Scott as a leader in the personal training field is his heartfelt and self-evident sense of caring for you, his client. That said, if Scott is willing to take you under his wing, you are in for a life-changing journey – so, do your part and enjoy the ride!

Having recently moved to Fairfield, I didn't have any local friends to help me on my quest for a personal fitness trainer. And so I turned to my good old friend Google and chanced upon Scott/Pinpoint (like you are probably doing now). I jumped in with a leap of faith and ain't I glad I did!Scott is everything the other reviewers have mentioned and more - knowledgeable, accommodative, absolute stickler for form, 100% focused during sessions and relatable. The gym is well maintained and has a good variety of machines conducive to varied forms of exercise.I still have a long path ahead to reach my personal fitness goals but I love the mini-challenges Scott throws at me to keep me motivated, not to mention the good natured banter that makes every session interesting!

Scott has been training me for the past 3 months and I’m overall impressed with the progress I’ve made because of him. He is very patient and honestly wonderful with all the information he’s giving me about conditioning, eating healthy, and building a balanced between fitness and food.Prior to finding Scott, I had no muscles, weak, battling Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from a blood condition I was born with. I was also at risk for osteoporosis, always out of breath, and in pain because I had no strength for my body to hold itself up.I worked 24/7 from home and constantly sat in a desk for 10-12 hours per day.1 month & 20 sessions later: I began seeing my strength build up, no sciatic nerve pain, and was consistent with working out.2 months & ~40 sessions in: I’m seeing my physique change, I started seeing more progression in my muscles, felt my confidence boosting, and breathing easier.I will continue my sessions with Scott because he hit all the criterias and goals that I set for myself. He is observant, motivates you to keep moving forward, constantly fixing my form to avoid injuries I can’t afford to have, and reminds me to breathe so that I don’t pass out. (Lol)Pinpoint fitness is also very clean, has all the equipment you need, and easy parking.

Really enjoy my experience at PinPoint Fitness. Scott is very attentive to proper form which is so important for me (I have chronic lower back problems). I have gained strength and lost weight - my two goals!
