My dog has been a grooming customer for 14+ years. We also get our snacks, toys, leashes, everything there - for 14+ years. We are members of the Vital Care programs and pay $19,00 a month. I also had 2 cats that go 25 years of shopping at Petco. Today I was told Petco Fairfield will no longer take my dog for a haircut because he is too old and can't stand up for the whole time, and it is just too much work. Petco colleagues and management, I hope you do not treat your aging parents this way.

Best value ever. Staff is friendly and courteous, they don't try and charge you all the extras like at the vets. Will definitely be getting our pets vaccinated here

double standard We have used their grooming service many times. However, no longer. It appears that it is fine for them to make a customer wait for an extended period, (my wife was made to wait 1/2 an hour last time), but god forbid you are late. I arrived 16 minutes late but was made to wait outside the grooming area while they checked in another dog and then was told that they could not take my dog as i was outside their 15 minute window. I drove 25 minutes to get there and had plans that i had to cancel as a result . If 15 minutes is so critical why does it take over 2 hours before one can pick their dog up?

Purchased a dog crate yesterday. Package had been opened but it was back on the shelf so I thought they must have checked it. They had not. It was damaged beyond use (ripped zipper). Today I went back and I exchanged it and bought a different type. There was a rip on the side of the package but again I trusted that they checked it. This is also an usable crate (slice through the plastic pan) I know, to trusting on my part. Now I have to make a 3rd trip and no crate tonight for a new puppy. Since it's New Year's Eve, the main customer service was able to confirm they should be open tomorrow and gave me a courtesy credit of $10. Not much for two extra trips but the rep was very helpful and nice.

The girls were wonderful and kind to my greyhound. My regular girl who is also excellent is out on maternity. My dog is so clean and they did a terrific job with his nails and teeth too. Very professional, prompt, and courteous! 5 stars for Fairfield Petco!

I wish I could give lower stars. Went in to get crickets, ended up waiting over 20 minutes to be helped and had my Uber cancel on me because of it. This store sucks so much. Do yourself a favor and spend the time to go 5 minutes more to a different store. You'll grow old waiting for help in this store.

Claudia the groomer did a great job with Bentley!!. Love the location - I dropped him off and got my shopping done at Home Depot and Whole Foods. I will def bring him in again!

Petco May like dogs but they don't really like customers. We had been a great customers for 2 years grooming our dog every 6 weeks and buying all supplies. Last week the craziest thing happened - the groomer decided she did not feel Comfortable handling our incredible friendly mini golden doodle. This would have been fine if she notified us in advance. Rather they confirmed the appointment 2 days prior (as always) and we drove 25 min, dropped him off and 20 min later I get a call that I needed to pick him up. Needless to say I was shocked. Her explanation was totally lame and the fact that we were completely put out was of no concern to them. I will never shop at Petco again. Shockingly bad customer service and complete disrespect for us and our beloved dog. I wish there was an option for 0 stars or less.
